How long till 1.0 is released? A year maybe?

I tried 0.61 and I'll probably need at least 1.0 before dropping IE6.

Call me a wimp.

A question for any of you firebird gurus, is tehre a specfic way to get java to work with mozillia? Cause everytime i try to view an applet or something of that nature it says i need a plugin. Even after i get the plugin. is tehre anyway to get it to work?

You'll need to switch a registry entry to get Java working. The mozilla installer does it for you but since Firebird doesn't have an installer you have to do it manually. Do a search on the Firebird forums for the proper process.

Flash also doesn't seem to work for me. why didnt they include an installer?

- Flash... You may have to download the stand-alone version of flash and simply copy/paste into your plugins folder.
- Shockwave... This will detect Mozilla properly and put the plugin in the right directory automatically (if you have problems use the above method.

Maybe i'm a lazy bastard but those are too much manual works for me. 😀
I will stick with IE for now

that's odd. I extracted it to my firebird folder but it still says I have version 0.6.1....

*edit* looking at properties of mozillafirebird.exe says modified october 7, 2003 though... 😕

It's a good practice to make a new profile when you install a new Firebird version. Sometimes little problems will crop up if you don't. If the plug-in doesn't see the browser then you'll need to point to the plug-ins folder. Different people have different situations with this for some reason.

The mozilla forums are a great place to do a search. Firebird forums

I've been using mozilla before, but I've now since formatted... so which should I download, mozilla or firebird? If ya can give a reason that would be appreciated too 🙂

Clear your firebird folder and reinstall. Also try deleting your profile if you have further problems
Firebird is fantastic. I run optimized builds for Athlon XP, and I'm in love. Have been for awhile 🙂
I miss the IE engine though. Pages look better when they're built for IE, in IE.

try the extension IEView. 🙂

How does Thunderbird look? Can someone host a few screencaps, since there don't seem to be any on their site? I'm happy with Outlook, but I might install the set on the upstairs computer.

It is much faster on my G4. I liked 0.6 and used it as my main browser, but 0.7 is much quicker and it supports my mouse shortcuts for back and forward.

Woo!

Ok...I got the compact menu extension and I accidently removed all the other menus, other than file...how do I get it back?
