WTF do you need an extra mag? Are you going to war? If you ever need a concealed carry weapon to protect your life the whole thing is going to be over in 3 seconds, you're not going to get into a running gun battle out of a Tarentino movie.

But what if there are more than 3 of them? I'm budgeting 5 shots per bad guy. With good training and getting my muscle memory so that I literally don't even have to think about reloading and can do it in a few seconds I'll be much better prepared.

Mine holds 6 + 1. I'd rather have 13 than 7.

I keep my extra magazines next to the toilet. Oh wait, you're talking about... don't you mean "clips"?

No.

A clip and a magazine are different.

A clip goes into an M1 Garand, a Magazine goes into spidey's gun

http://www.lifelibertyetc.com/...LE_Clips_Magazines.wmv

here we go...

burglary vs robbery

emergency brake vs parking brake

etc

Robbery entails force/intimidation. Burglary does not necessarily, nor does it even require that the victim be present. There is a significant difference.

I keep my extra mags in my mag pouches....then again, when you're in the army that's not a big deal. Why on earth you'd be carrying a gun around for any other reason is beyond me.

awhell, just look at this. http://www.nraila.org/ArmedCitizen/default.aspx

In a country as big as the US, you can always find plenty of anecdotes in support of your arguement. Of course, you also need to ignore the immense volume of research showing the massive likelihood that the only person a legal gun carrier is likely to shoot is themselves or a family member.

Gun control FTW, makes me happy to live here in NZ.

You mean the study which has been proven to be significantly flawed?

I have no problem with people legally carrying firearms. If there ever is a problem with said legal firearm owner, I am exponentially more likely than you to be the one dealing with said problem. Perhaps that should give you cause for re-thinking your ignorant assumptions.

Actually you're utterly full of crap. NO credible research shows that in any way. In fact, the research shows just about the opposite.

It depends what I am carrying, what I am wearing, and where I am going. Most of the time when I am just out and carrying my PT145, I don't have a spare on my person - the thinking being that I am not putting myself in a situation where I would need to fight off an army in order to make it to safety so spares are in the vehicle. If I am going to be somewhere that I don't feel quite as comfortable, either due to environment or time of day (say having to go to work for a downed server at 2am or something), I have a spare in my offside pocket. If I am carrying my 1911 in my shoulder rig, I have two spares in the offside pouch regardless of time or place.

Here's an anectdote - Switzerland - the whole fucking country. Second amendment FTW - makes me proud to be an American.

My kahr PM9 is in front of my right (strongside) hip at ~2 o clock in an IWB. Spare magazine is usually behind my weak side hip at around 8 o clock. No spare magazine if pocket carrying. It is just short enough not to bother me much when sitting.

Hoping to replace it soon with a springfield EMP to keep my platforms the same.

What is there's 8 of them, will you get into your third mag? How about 10? Maybe you should just go Rambo and carry an M-60 with a couple of extra belts just in case you wander into a Crip drug house. If you can't save your life with one mag leave the gun home and don't carry more than $3.

In reality I am absolutely willing to bet our most armed forum members will be the first to just put their head between their legs and kiss their balls goodbye.
