Looks good. I might suggest looking for a better brand video card. XFX doesnt have the best reputation. Also you may want to consider a X2 or and Opteron CPU. The 3700 isnt a slouch though.

overall,

My only advice: get the 3800+ X2 instead of the 3700+. The extra core is WELL worth the drop in clock speed. Just trust me on this one, you will regret it if you spend that kind of money on a single-core proc.

You big spender you.

Looks good, though I would go with a 250GB HD, no floppy drive(if you can do it), NEC 3550A Burner, and ya, an EVGA or BFG 7800GT

Don't trade the video card for the dual core if you are a gamer.

Plus you spend a lot if you pick out expensive parts anyway.

I would go with a cheaper Linksys Router, though D-Link is good too.

another recommendation for the dual core proc. software is only going to get faster on it once programmers start coding for it. also, a better namebrand of video card is also a good idea. trust me, if you can muster up the extra dough for the dual core proc and video card, it will be worth it

I wouldn't skimp on the video card, the video card will determine if games for the next year or so are good, while the dual core will determine if games are BETTER for the games 2 years down the road.

Dual core is awesome, but it isn't being fully utilized by games at this point in time, where you will be getting better fps with a faster single core, at a cheaper price, and a MUCH better video card(which will last you longer as well).

There is a huge difference in quality between 6800 GT or GS and a 7800GT, and 2 6800 GTs aren't worth more than a 7800GT.

I myself still have a 9600XT and am going to wait for the 7800 GS to come out

No. If your only choice is that, then stick with what you have. :)

The only reason to get the 3700+ is for the 1MB Cache, but if I were to get a computer today, it would be a 3000+ and I would OC it at stock voltages(safe).

Also I recommened the 250GB over 200GB because the price difference is very small, also the 16MB Buffer Western Digital Drive is said to be very good.

How soon will you be upgrading to dual core? I think you will be fine with a 3000+ Venice, honestly.
