In terms of sound track albums, the best has got to be Dazed And Confused.

John Williams has the most good stuff but I personally think LOTR had the best soundtrack period.

Clint Mansell and Hans Zimmer are my two favorites. The Fountain Soundtrack is unspeakably amazing, and Gladiator is as well.

Given, his protoge, Klaus Baldet is pretty good as well. John Williams is the more Iconic composer of the later 20th century (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ET, etc)

Zimmer's music is just so dramatic and moving. Like I said in this thead...the music makes the movie!

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly was imo one of the three finest westerns ever filmed. The soundtrack and cast had few equals. The cinematography was simply brilliant.

For a mainstream movie Pulp Fiction had a fine soundtrack, that added a great deal to the film. Certainly it's old and busted, but it was nice at the time.

I saw it recently, and really it was pretty forgettable. The soundtrack was very good and very well used though.

As to the rest of it, the story doesn't really seem to go anywhere, and then doesn't end... I thought I remembered really liking it, which is why I wanted to watch it again, but it didn't hold up... maybe it's just me.
