find out what someone drives with just the address

No Lifer
Did me and my neighbors and it seems to be pulling the correct data from DMV. Didn't know they could do that, much less provide such information so freely.

http://www.progressive.com/ --> start a quote with the right zip code and all you need correct is the rest of the address.

That's nothing new. I found out about the "sharing of information" a couple of years ago when I called AAA about auto insurance. The agent had all my info. House, cars, driving record, etc.

This is interesting ... the empty house near mine has been unoccupied for three years. The owner, which is the original owner since 2000, hasn't occupied the premise since 2006. Yet, the progressive site thinks there are four motor vehicles registered there. Now ain't that a hoot!? Dem ghosts!

Nothing for my Seattle addr (3 cars here), my parents in Oregon though got all their vehicles.

Maybe they just changed it. It now requires full name and date of birth. I tried without them but it said they are required when I clicked submit.

so um....whats the point of this? if you have the address, couldn't you also just go and look?

Can't see inside a garage. If you only needed an address, then that's an easy way for thieves to do a quick check of what's in an area and worth looking into further. Could be an indication of what level of spending they could find inside the house too. If they changed it to needing a name and DOB now then that helps.
