I do not envy you sir.

I still don't know how I managed to destroy my classes the past two weeks without my head exploding. Maybe it was the caffeine...

I had planned on watching movies tonight but we'll see if that actually happens. I've had such a shitty week that the second I find out who's drinking where I'll probably be headed there.

heh-heh...mine too.
This semester I had:
FInancial Accounting 201
Excel Spreadsheets for Accounting 200
Computer Accounting 203 (Peachtree & Quickbooks)
Income Tax Accounting 336

None of that fancy math full of weird letters and squiggly lines and shit...:p

All my finals are history. Last one (tax) was last night.

I think mine were actually easier:
A math, comp sci intro (was hard as hell though), public speaking, music (lol @ gen ed), and some weird class that was basically history.
Transferring = puts you back a year basically

Accounting 201a is killing me right now. I've got a 58% and with the curve that's almost a B-. Worst professor ever.

The horrors have arrived. 1 take-home final is due Monday. On the plus-side, it was originally scheduled as an 8am final. Now I've got until 11am to bring it in. The prof gave us an extra hour past the due date. At least I think he did. Oh well, I'll have it there by 10.

Another take-home final, which is a conglomeration of the final and one other test that we were originally supposed to receive back in early October, is just a little slice of hell. I just finished problem #1. It took 4 hours. There are 9 problems total. Add to that about 10 homework problems, which typically average 2hrs each.

And then there's another final on Monday.
Good times ahead.

Engineering....why. I could've been a business major or something. No. Engineering.
I never knew I was so masochistic.

Problem 2 is crazy.

Not really. Been working over a year and life has been super easy. Get up, work 7.5 hours, go home, don't need to stress about absolutely nothing, do stuff for a bit, go to bed, cycle continues, week end is near, do stuff for longer because there's no work for 2 days, cycle continues again.

Then again it depends on the job. I hear of people who work 12 hour non stop shifts of hard labour without any kind of breaks. I don't know why people do that to themselves.

I suppose. Finishing up my 3rd semester since restarting school and have not been stressed out at all yet.

My last job.. yeah, it blows most out of the water.

Job is much better then school. No more doing stupid homework, no more taking stupid test and no more taking stupid classes because your schools says so.

Psst. It's a little different when you're getting shot at for four years ;)

Man, this is going to be excellent. Averaging more than 4 hours per problem, and I've got 3 problems done. One took less than an hour to do. Another took around 4 hours. The other - 5 hours, and it's not even close to being done. I finally threw in the towel and sent an e-mail to the professor asking for hints or anything. As I'm trying to solve it, I need at least 4 additional dimensions.

But I have an uncanny knack for severely over-complicating exceedingly simplistic problems.

There's that old story about NASA using a pen, while the Russians just used a pencil.*
I'd design a laser printer from scratch.

*- Note though, using a pencil in a spaceship can be problematic. Graphite dust or broken tips can do bad things if they'd float into some electrical connection. Short circuits and fires are usually bad news.

I think it depends on what you're studying. Sometimes I wish I chose a major that requires a lot of memorization, because I'm good at that.

Engineering is more analytical, and I suffer sometimes. I can't just memorize a bunch of problems, because I can always get an exam that has stuff I've never seen. Applying theory kills me.

if it weren't for note sheets (on which i crammed as many example problems as possible) i would have gotten owned on some tests.

on other tests (metals and metals processing), no matter what notes you used, inevitably they were totally worthless. those classes were probably the hardest in terms of testing my knowledge - i got completely owned. damn you metastable phase diagrams and TTD/CCD diagrams!

I'd kill to finish with a 78.5% which would be the equivalent of your 98.5%. I can't wait to get some other stuff out of the way so I can focus on just that class.

You must have taken some of that "fuzzy math" stuff where 78.5% = 98.5% :D
