Finally! Sonic opens a store in Michigan

Well after years of strangely advertising for Sonic on Michigan TV, they finally have a store open in Michigan. I'm so excited! I love their drink selection and their burgers are fairly tasty.

I know it sounds silly to get excited over a fast food restaurant but it's nice to have a different choice over the McDonald/Wendy/Burger Kings in the area.

Anyways for anyone who lives in Southeast Michigan, this new Sonic is on Fort Street in Southgate directly across the street from the Southgate Ford dealership.

 
Sonic was my first meal when I went to college in Arkansas. Loved it! Still miss it. Wonder if this location is not too far from my trip this weekend.

We have one in the bay area. It's 50 miles from where I live. We see Sonic commercial all the time. WTF man!

QFT. I don't know how they stay in business here. One folded within 2 years, the other two do dismal business. Food is crappy, drinks are pretty good though.
 
hmm, where is that? close to the border? i would love to try a Sonic burger! i take my wife to Somerset mall once in a while, is it near there? guide me 🙂

I'm not sure what happened, but the one that opened here a few years ago was decent at first, but now the burgers don't seem to taste as good.
 
Sonic is one of the few places you can get a chili cheese dog when you really have a craving for one.

I like them for that simple fact.
 
i think the woman in sonic commercials is quite attractive.

the burgers give me a stomach ache. theyre pretty gristly.

the drinks are pretty good. i think my mom would lose the will to live if someone took her daily sonic diet coke away. 2-4 half price drinks ftw.
 
I bought a car from that dealership one time. I've never had Sonic. I'll try it.

btw-they're building a Culvers like a couple of miles from my house on Belleville Rd. & I-94


 
They've been advertising in Philly for years despite none being in the area.

Although I hate their commercials so much, I would never eat at one.

Yep, here in Alaska we get the freakin Sonic commericals too... though we'll never ever get one here.
