I wonder if a bit of studio trickery could have been done to use Kevin Konroy's voice for Batman in the trilogy, whether it could have been pulled off without sticking out like a sore thumb.

Bane's voice was fine in IMAX. Maybe your 21 inch computer monitor speakers are just shit? Next time go to the theater if you want the real experience.

I just watched this as well, I couldn't see it in the theater.

Honestly, its the weakest Nolan batman movie. I won't say I'm really disappointed because I still really enjoyed it but Begins was the best overall with the least ridiculous of a plot and TDK had stronger characters and was more direct with its theme.

The actors were all decent in this, I liked the idea of the overall villain and felt Catwoman had just the right amount of screen time and even thought the idea of the plot was decent.

That said, the movie was loaded with more plot holes than the previous ones and Batman himself kind of came off as crappy and worse, stupid. The final fight was also kind of underwelming and it didn't really appear Batman actually had learned anything that allowed him to persevere where he had previously failed.

Bit of spoilers here but this seems like a spoiler thread:

The most annoying plot elements that spring to mind:
The impossible "clean slate" program...even in a series known for its improbable technologies this was to much for me to swallow.

Crippled Batman just needed to do more situps and pullups to heal all his injuries. I'd really liked how they showed that all his fighting had taken a cumulative toll on his body at the beginning...and later he has even more serious injuries until they all just spontaneously disappear at the end.

Related, Batman does nothing different to defeat Bain in combat the second time. I'm left to believe he was simply out of shape the first time he fought him and that some how working out with a broken back in a prison for a few months was all it took to get back to top form, repair his damaged knees and get his Kung fu back up to snuff. There was a real opportunity to show Batman redoubling his efforts and tailor building a strategy to defeat an opponent he was previously no match for-a hallmark of this character IMO-that was simply wasted. Instead Batman just used incredible hulk don't make me angry power to win.

The stock exchange thing of course would not have worked at all, but whatever.

Batman is stupid in this one. He doesn't see the betrayal coming at the mid point or the end, doesn't seem to prepare for Bain at all the first time, doesn't do any meaningful detective work and doesn't really seem to grow as a character. I guess this is OK, all of those concussions probably have resulted in serious brain damage at this point.

I dont understand how people hate the last movie for the ridiculous technology and don't even flinch at the retarded plot/technology of the first movie. I thought both movies were pretty retarded in terms of technology but the first movie had the worst tech/plot combination I've ever seen.

Seriously. Water destroyer weapon? City wide bat sonar?

The only thing I didnt like was the nuke. You'd thing there'd be fallout or a tsunami.

Rises was my least favorite of the trilogy, but it was good enough that I bought it on Blu-ray on Tuesday. I had trouble understanding Bane when I saw it in an IMAX theater, but on the BD, his voice is remarkably clear and easy to understand. It still comes out of every speaker so you get that cool, creepy effect of his voice sounding like it's inside your own head, it just so happens that now you can actually understand each individual word.

The latter half of Begins is the worst thing in the whole trilogy, but the first half is so awesome it saves the film. This last film just felt mediocre to me aside form a few parts. I did love Anne Hathaway though.

i actually didn't like that part because his voice had no direction. it was like watching a dubbed kung fu movie but you couldn't see his mouth moving to the wrong words.

I cant believe the villain [the lady] , did not change her mind abt destroying the city and batman after sleeping with him. You would think with all the bat sex she must want more with life?

Thats mostly how I feel. The first movie is so awesome until the stupid technology appears. Then it quickly becomes the worst of the movies. The second movie was the best, the third was pretty mediocre. The technology use is bad, but it doesn't compare to the stupid of the first one.

And the whole fake plane crash in the beginning, where the wings broke off, then the fuselage flew miles further.

My 9 year old niece, who loved The Avengers, even thought this movie was full of idiotic logic. I've never had so much fun bashing a movie with a 9 year old than I did with my niece, lol.

The fact that a 9 year old kid could point out plot holes in this movie means the writers to this movie failed at their job.

It was attached to the much MUCH larger plane using high tension cables.

That scene was perfectly realistic. Its one of those "people think its CGI but its perfectly real" scenes.

Im trying to find the featurette I saw but I cant find it. They physically flipped the plane and broke the wings while Nolan was flying around in another plane to film it.

Um they actually did that in the air. No cg.

why wouldn't it? it was hooked to the other plane.

I didn't mean that it was unrealistic, or impossible, I meant that the whole situation would raise about 1000 flags to any investigator. Nobody would just write it off as a crash, and that tiny bit of blood they transfused wouldn't have fooled anybody.
