Wow, am I the only person who was really distracted by Tom Hardy's voice? I thought it sounded good at times, but I think its his natural inflection of words that bothers me. I didn't mind the unintelligible things.

It's the same thing I noticed in Star Trek Nemesis, so it wasn't the "gyspy accent" etc.

I don't dislike him as an actor, I think he is a brilliant actor

Here's what it reminds me of. James Hetfield of 2010's trying to do James Hetfield of the early 1990s

Just watched it again the other day. So many plot holes, but still enjoyable if you don't think about it too much. Batman was kind of disappointing and useless in it too.

I can't wait for the movie to come out on BR so I can watch it again withe the subtitle on, because I have no idea what the hell Bane was saying through the entire movie.

thats all i could think about while watching it, and this time around I didn't have the acting performance of the decade to distract me

I loved the movie and I agree with this. Took me two viewings.

DKR is the only one out of those three that I won't be getting on DVD. I couldn't understand what Bane was saying half the time (though it's not-ironic-but-unfortunate-coincidence that the HISHE DKR episode on YouTube had a clearer yet realistic Bane voice), the movie tried to do too many things at once (it's got to be epic, ePPPPPPPICCCC I tells you!), which caused me to disconnect after a while. The plot wasn't up to the same level of quality as the previous two.

The ending was really spoon-fed as well. They couldn't leave the audience to ponder over a clue, could they? Why not send the point right home and
have Bruce Wayne banging Selina Kyle in the final scene in their 'ideal home'?

I also have to say I preferred the Catwoman character in Batman Returns.
The scene in the bar in DKR was pretty damn cool though.

It was actually a pretty bad movie, and Tom Hardy was either unintelligible or sounded like an idiot. What a waste of a great actor.

However, I do recommend everyone watch Bane plays Amnesia.

well i never saw it in the theater and only saw the bluray version, and i had no problems understanding bane the entire movie.

but i also did read that they added some filters to his voice on the bluray version due to complaints about not being able to understand him in the theatrical version.

They needed something as bone chilling as Ledger's voice as Joker...so they ran it through a bunch of effects.

It's hard to understand and at times comical when it's not supposed to be. The only problem I have with it is that its an obvious overdub and it has no placement in the 5.1 mix. His voice is always coming out of the center channel like someone is speaking directly into a microphone, its not set in the stage of sound with the other actors. On a 2.1/2.0 mix it merges into distinct stereo which sounds completely unnatural.

I had no issues understanding Bane. Christian Bale doing that rhaspy voice nonsense again though had its difficulties.

The only time I had a problem understanding him was on the plane at the very beginning, but I acclimated quickly and actually liked his voice a lot after that. Too bad the movie was not that great.
