#Update : It took me a few clicks to setup my Intel 2200 BG mini-pci card in Fedora Core 4 look few posts below for details.#

So I am running Fedora Core 4 on an IBM thinkpad R50e which specs are listed in my sig.
It has the Intel wireless 2200 BG min-pci card which is an excellent card BTW.
I am attempting to get Wi-Fi working on it I am very close to getting it working .
The issue here is as follows :

I go to creat a new internet connection , then wireless I only see other devices so It looks as if it's not present/detected . But If I go under creat a new internet ethernet connection BAM I can see my intel 2200 BG wireless and my Intel pro 100 VE ethernet there !!!
What should I do here, my system does detect the card's presence but doesn't recognise the card as a wifi card, how can I make Fedora Core 4 know that this is a Wi-Fi card and that it needs to be listed in the wireless cards section so I can set it up ?

You should be able to use iwconfig to connect to a wireless network. I think I posted it in a thread you started about this previously.

EDIT: Here's your thread, but I guess I didn't mention iwconfig in it.

I will bump this thread so others can see how easy it was to setup WiFI in Linux CHEERS.

Man seriously the frustration I had to deal with when trying to make previous WiFi adapters working under Linux is unimaginable, methods include Linuxant, Ndiswrapper...etc this one wins the trophy, I am not an intel fanboy but I have to give them credit for their intel Linux driver project .
BTW n0cmonkey do you know anyplace that sells mini-PCI PCI adapter that I am talking about in this thread.

Edit : just checked the other thread I'll check that mini-PCI PCI adapter now. thank you

If it pisses you off, then yes it was the horribly laid out instructions

 No, I was thinking that if it was the horribly laid out instructions that it might be worth cleaning up a bit. ;)

We'd be better off if they released documentation instead of code. I'll stick with friendly companies, like RALink.

I did a quick look around, and didn't find any.
