Well my power supply finally arrived today, and I hooked it up to my Athlon64 3500 machine, and I must say, even with all the bad press that it's getting these days, it's a great card..
And it's not as loud as some people make it out to be (at least mine isn't)..
It's in my mid-tower under my desk and I can hardly hear the video card fan spin up (I can hear it, but I could have also heard the X1600 and X800 fans as well). For such a big cooler it's damn quiet.
Although I admit the drivers do need work. Only tried a few of ATI's older demos (Toy Shop, The Assassin etc.) and they all run beautifully, and tried CS:S at 1600x1200.. which ran fine but the shadows weren't shadows.. they were more white.. which was weird, other than that though it was fine. The Video Stress Test ran at around 118fps at 1600x1200 on that machine..
