Does it cycle through the other phases and GET to FF, or does it just start up and stay at FF? Honestly if that was happening to me, the first thing I'd check would be my monitor cable - I've often thought it was plugged in all the way, but I barely tapped it and *yay* there was life on the screen.
Hope you get that resolved soon - it's one thing to troubleshoot a system normally - it's another thing when you can't even get an output to the screen to get a starting point!
