SVTCobra, NICE car. I'd love to find a deal on a SVT Cobra. I'd buy one in a heart beat. I've been looking at getting a new car for a while now, and that's one of the ones I've though about.

OP, you've got a nice car too. The new body style Mustang is my favorite. Congrats.

Edited for clarification.

Thanks, I know own a Mystichrome 04 also. Will be selling the MG and getting a Shelby GT soon. Maybe a blue 1070 Boss 302 in a couple of years to start my collection.

BTW I am not running stock, let's just say: whipple

I'm an Acura man myself, but I've gotta say this current generation of mustang looks pretty damn good.

My buddy got a Mustang GT convertible... an 06 I belive. I doubt you're missing much with the V6, his V8 feels so under powered anyway. You might as well be under powered and get good gas mileage. His car was an auto, and I know that convertibles are heavier (my fwd Eclipse Spyder is heavy as an AWD Eclipse coupe), but man did that car lack get up and go. Sounded nice, no top was nice, but really needed a kick in the pants as far as power goes.

Drives freakin awesome, drove it up to Dallas today. Only complaint is the rims that it came with, they are worth some money but I dont really like them (Enkei 20" LX-6 chrome rims). I am considering taking them off with the low profile tires, selling them, and putting other ones on.

Drive great though, I will be using my 93 accord for work purposes though, I get payed milage off that car.

As you can see, the rims have some bling to them lol. They came with the car so I wont complain too much since I can always sell them off if I want.

Thinks that only V8 stangs should be called stangs.. maybe they should call the 6s PINTOS!

nice though but its really not worth it unless its an 8..

old V8 commercial comes to mind..
/Bonkself... I coulda had a V8!

Are you kidding? Even a stock GT will run high 13s. That's about 2-3 seconds faster than an Eclipse.

What exactly were you expecting it to do?

the Ford Automatic is whats killing the car in question..
the autos eat ALOT of HP and Torque..
5 speed cars are 13 secs stock.. 12s with exhaust and add just a bolt on super charger and into the high 11s..

very cheap fun car to have if you wat to eat vettes and vipers on a budget.

To each his own I guess, but I was just looking for something kind of quick that looked good and was a convertible. Mustang V6 hit the spot for me, lower insurance, better mpg, and costs less (allowing me to get the vert). Someday in the future I may look into getting a corvette killer, but right now I am very very happy, and will be even more after winter

I assure you, the car I drove was not a 13 second car. Maybe the engine wasn't broken in? Maybe it was the auto? I don't know what it was, but that car was lacking power. I wasn't comparing the car to my Eclipse, just that both cars are convertibles so they are heavier then non-convertible versions of the same car.
