It's a nice car but the interior looks really plain and boring like many cheaper non-luxury cars. Doesn't seem like anything special to me but it should since it's a luxury car and you pay more specifically for how much nicer it is.

It's actually really nice close up. Very functional and well made. I've looked at other car interiors for cars in the same range but I find this pretty appealing compared to most other cars. An exception is Audi as they tend to have nicer interiors. On the other hand, I like mine better than the one in the 335i.
It's not obvious from the pic, but the driver sits a bit lower and dash seems to 'wrap' around you.

I guess I just expected more "bling" from a $45k car.

Looks to be about equal with a Nissan interior... not that I expected it to be drastically different.

>< close to getting a 2005/2006 G35 coupe but it's still 20K+ for the options I want. A 2008 G37 coupe at 28K is an amazing deal. Almost too good to be true..

There are a few deals out there. But I have to say the G has a high resale value so they're hard to find. For example, take the following. It's over 31k but i bet you could bring the price down a few grand. I was looking at this but it didn't have nav so that was a deal breaker for me.

this makes me kick myself in the ass for buying a new Accord, when I could've gotten something like that for only 5k more 🙁

How much are you paying for auto insurance? Do you have both liability and damage? How old are you?

I'm 35. Yep, I have full comprehensive/collision with a 500 deductible. I also have an old 240sx which is my everyday car; the g37 is a weekend car. I pay around 92/month for both cars. The 240sx however has basic liability.

Liberty Mutual. I used insurance.com to get the quote from multiple insurance companies and LM was the cheapest.

awesome car, that was first on my list when I was looking. I really like the athens blue color - is that 7 speed automatic ?

Nice car.

All you dash-stokers must not have seen the spartan 335i interior.

I've always agreed the 3 series interior needs much work for a car in that price range. The old Zs too. The new Z4 is 10x better.

And there's nothing wrong with dash-stroking... it's your car, you see that dash everyday. I think that G37 interior is alright, could definitely be better for that price. Even Camrys can match that.

Actually it's a lot more refined than it looks. The silver on the dash is aluminum with a 'washi' paper texture. It lights up pretty nice too but that wasn't what I was looking for in the car when I bought it.

I think it's the 5-speed auto. I think the 7-speed is in the 2009 models. But I'm not sure.

I do the same thing, drive an older DD and have a nice weekend car.

$92/mo is right in there.

I have an 99 camry with only liability and a 08 boxster with full coverage. List your second car as a weekend car that is driven < 7.5K mi yr. In this case the camry actually costs more to insure.

The Boxster is $240is/6m and the camry is $280/6m? I actually pay less than the OP but I have homeowners and umbrella insurance from the same place so there mutli policy discount.

I'm surprised it was that "cheap", isn't this like a 40-50k car?

It's around 45k or so when new. This is a year old ('08) with 18.5k miles.

Whew, I was gonna fly out to CA and punch you in the face if it was new. CONSIDER YOURSELF LUCKY.
