but how come C&D didn't use the 330 instead, so doesn't this test give an unfair horsepower advantage to the G35???
[edit] oops, its a under 35k Comparo... didn't realize 330 cost so much. 🙂

I'm sure that's a point C&D was also trying to make.
It's a complete sham that BMW's new 530i costs over $55K-60K when optioned out.
Yeah for me the TL and G35 are far and away the best cars here. I think it's sad that a maxima SE comes in no only cheaper than these cars, but is also faster than all but 2 of them (granted I'm not taking handling into account here), and it's a "family sedan".Originally posted by: werk
Personally, I'd bump the A4 over the IS300 and maaaaybe rate the TL over the 325, but a pretty good list anyways.
Heh, for the hell of it, they should've put the Maxima in there instead of the POS XType. 🙂Originally posted by: Skoorb

Slower, more expensive, higher repair costs? Sounds like a winning combo!Originally posted by: Argo
Japanese car = the evil. I'd much rather drive a lower HP european car than a japanese counterpart.
Me too! Plus it has all the geeky features...that just puts it over the top for me. 🙂Originally posted by: Descartes
I think the new TL looks hot. I'd take it over any of the others in the list...

Too few domestics come in manual transmission iterations, because North Americans are lazy (and slow and dumb and ugly and stupid).Originally posted by: MercenaryForHire

Hell, if you want those qualities, just buy domestic. 😀

Speaking of domestics, they seem to have missed the list altogether. Unless you find some reason to count the Saab and Jag, which I won't.
Now what's up with no manual G35x sedans?
