Final proof that I'm a clueless geek who has no life...

There's this girl in HR that I've been admiring for some time now. Of course being me I just walk by, I'm not really one for conversation.

Yesterday, out of nowhere, as I'm walking by, she says "Hi!" I was kinda shocked, said hi, & kept walking. Then she did it again. :Q Came into work today, sure enough. Same thing. Three times so far today. Just now she actually called me over, asked my name, etc. I asked her if she said hi to everyone, or just me. "I say hi to everyone, but you always look so happy that I thought I'd brighten your day a little." All I could say was "Thank you."

WTF is my problem? An attractive female is going out of her way to talk to me, & I'm at a total loss for words.

Viper... dunno what to tell you... cause I woulda done the same thing. I was a chump with the ladies back in High School... and I got married right after college so I can't say how i'd react if that were to happen to me now.

It'll happen if it was meant to be.

I hear ya' This has happened to me to :(
Now, does she say hi to you because she thinks you're such a miserable creature that she pity you, or is she interested?

Do you mean to say she said you "look so unhappy"? 'Cause thats the very first thing Elita noticed about me she says - that I looked unhappy and she wanted to cheer me up and make me smile... :D

<< Aww, thats adorable! I love men who are shy, its just so cute! :D >>

I guess its cute and all but how does a shy guy ever get a girl he wants if he's shy. This is a question that is asked by shy guys all over the world.

I rather suspect the former.

I myself find men that are shy so much sexier then a man who is too confident. And Viper, speaking for myself, I suspect that maybe there is a reason she wants to make you smile, and its not pity. ;)

I'm a shy guy, but I got my gf by growing a pair and asking her out, it wasn't too tough.

Man, good for you!! It's hard to grow a pair and some hair to ask a girl out. Rejection is a bitch! But nothing is lost or even gained if one doesn't try.

It's perfectly normal to be a little nervous... you mentioned she kept coming over, so she probably found your shyness sweet and endearing. I've been attracted to a few shy guys in the past, and found it fun making the first few moves... but, if I didn't get a response, I'd move on. Try and initiate more of a conversation with her next time, or she may give up. >O.O<

Haha, u didn't do so bad, anything brief keeps you outta trouble... just make sure you smile back! A good smile is worth more than any amount of small talk you can come up with.

Yea dude the worst that can ever happen is she says "No" and it's no big deal even if their not interested and you get that answer a lot of the times they find it cute and are flattered.

But if she wants to see you smile that means something positive :)

I might be interested, but there are a few complications:

1) Sarah. 'Nuff said.
2) I'm 18... I'd guess her to be low 20's.
3) From snippets of conversation I've caught as I walked by, I think she has a kid. Not that I mind that, but if she has a kid most likely she isn't looking for another one (me).

What's really funny is she is making me smile. It takes a lot to do that. Even to the point that people I work with noticed. Just seconds after one of her greetings, one of my coworkers came by the other direction: "Stop smiling, you work at (company)!"

I guess it's just kinda nice getting the attention.
