This game is definitely due for a redux. I can't seem to go back to it due to the blocky lego graphics. I have no problem replaying the older 2-D FF games though.

Doing away with discs switching is well worth the $10! Hmmm should I buy this and compare the graphics with my original FF7? I was planning to buy buy the ZEN pinball game with my $10 though.

They had that tease when the PS3 first came out. Too bad nothing came from that.
 
FF7 would lose a huge part of the charm if they remade it with a first person or over the shoulder view and characters with bad voice acting..meh. I'm glad they haven't done it. The old school top-down view and text-based RPG goodness should not be corrupted. 😉

(I wouldn't mind a "FF7 Remix" though..something with slightly improved graphics and some new characters, plot twists, and story branches added. That would rock!)

I wasn't looking for a major overhaul. I would be happy with everything intact except revamped graphics and sound.

Wow so you can play the PSN downloadable games on the PSP? Does this cause any distortion of the graphics or control problems or is this an official thing that's fully supported (playing PSN downloadable games on the PSP)?
