FF7, by far the best of the 3d FF games. I remember playing it with every free minute I had. The game was soo indepth and you cared for the characters and their interaction with eachother. I was soooooo pissed when the fscker Sephiroth(sp?) Killed Aries.

DAMN IT, lol its all good

the only FF that I played was FF7. I liked it at the time I played it. Grandia 2 and Skies of Arcadia were awesome. The one thing I didn't like about FF series was that every 5 seconds you walk, you would get into a random battle, many times meaningless

Grandia 1 > Grandia 2.. by a MILE... and I mean the Sega Saturn version too. I was totally disappointed by Grandia 2 and thought it was beyond bland. Though I was happy they kept the great battle system which I agree is fantastic.

I hate fighting those friggin Malboro's and monsters casting confused on Squall...other party members don't have a chance

9 sucked cause it had flying boats. Flying boats have to be the stupidest fvcking thing ever. LONG LIVE FF7!

Wasn't Cid the captain of some sort of flying boat in FF7?

I agree with the majority, FF8 was absolute drivel. I also referred to is as Final Fantasy 90210. It was worse than a WB teen drama.

The only FF i was disapppinted in was X-2.

Every 2D FF and FF Tactics (for PS1) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> every 3D FF.

(God, I'm only 26 and feel like an old fart.)

isn't there a movie based on FF7?

Yea Advent Children. It's due to come out soon, it was supposed to come out last summer, but thats why I'm going to play FF7 next. Hard to understand whats happening in the movie if you don't have any background information on the game.

I liked FFX-2 more than FFX 😱

Tidus just whined so much... he totally ruined FFX for me.

FF8 wasn't awful, but the storyline was pretty craptastic. Final Fantasies in general have this pattern of building up something that could potentially be a great story, and then ruining it with some stupid and pointless twist at the end.

All the characters in X-2 were INCREDIBLY annoying airheads. In X, Rikku was annoying and Tidus was sometimes annoying, but that's about it.

True, but they made Rikku cuter looking 😉

I think I want to go play 7, 8, 9 again....3 also. X was good as well, haven't bothered with X-2 because I hear it's terrible.
Chrono Trigger is better than FFVII imo, but they're very close and both are awsome.

Are there any decent rpgs anymore?

HA! You really think Sony would give up their exclusivity of the Final Fantasy franchise to their primary competition? Keep dreaming.

Um FF is not exclusively on Playstation. Sony does not own the franchise, Square-Enix does. Check out Gamecube, DS, and GBA (ie Nintendo), and the PC, all which have FF games on them. Eventually, Sqare-Enix maybe do an Xbox or Xbox2 title.

FF on the XBox is pretty doubtful, based on XBox sales in Japan.

with the notable exceptions of FFXI and Crystal Chronicles, all the new FF games have been PS2-exclusive. I don't see that changing any time soon.

Geez, now I gotta go find my old FF7 game. You guys brought back so many memories and I never finished FF7. ARRG! I'm in the middle of too many games right now!!!! 🙂
