FileFront is shutting down March 30th

FileFront was the best gaming download center ever. The download speeds were very fast and there was no subscription/login necessary. 🙁
 
Well here it comes. Some of the big internet and website casualties of the economy is starting. Going to be like the dot.com crash all over again (probably worse?)
 
God Dammit...

I always liked FileFront, it was one of the best download sites around, no registration required, direct downloads, no stupid adds for ten pages before you finally reach the damn download link, it was straight to the point, simple and effective interface, and SUPERB speeds most of the time, what the hell is going on out there, someone HAS to buy it back and keep it active. The only other good download site I know of is FileShack, if that one goes down as well I will feel very sad.
 
damn, not only was it a great site like everyone says, but there are a lot of old game files and whatnot archived on there if I remember correctly.
 
filefront, CGW, and all the other big names going down, sure makes me feel safe if I was only renting my games through a service that they'd always be there to deliver what I paid for.

Gosh, that's sad news! Definitely the place where I used to download all my game patches from. 🙁

I know I have quite a few WoW videos from raids and pvp sitting out there. I will be downloading all of them this weekend to store myself now. RIP FF.

They'll be deleted I guess, all of them. That's why they mention on the notice that you might want to download favorite files, images and stuff should you want them.
 
I hope they close for real and isnt an april fool joke.... usually this kind of jokes end up in real trouble... probably ending in a real close... plus the humiliation...
