gotta go with this.

it was ice cold too, and ice cold water tastes better than semi cold water.

I like my water close to room temperature. I drink from the tap when I'm at home and it gets too cold sometimes. :\

This is my favorite water:

I got behind a couple of guys in a convenience store a while back and they were talking about this water. One commented that Artesia was part of the Fiji islands.

😕

$1.50 a day = $45 a month lol

And that's expensive? Isn't a big part of life about enjoying yourself? I guess I could be like the beer snobs on here and only drink $11 bottles of hand crafted beers. If you're fine with tap water cool, but to me the difference between tap water and Fuji, hell even most other bottled waters and Fiji is like the difference between a Budweiser & a [insert $$$$ beer you like] To me fife's too short to drink Bud, the same goes for tap water. But if you enjoy drinking Bud more power to you.

Well I'll admit Fiji is better. I've actually thrown in tap water, DI water, bottled water and done some tests on an ICP-MS which measures down to parts per trillion for some particles.

There's a difference. Taste buds won't really be that sensitive. Otherwise, we'd have people testing chemicals with their mouths.

95% of people here will laugh at bottled water because they say there's no difference. No difference based on what? Your mouth? Yeah, and if science were all based on what you feel, see, touch, then that's ridiculous. There's a reason we use chemical testing, microscopes, etc because there's a limit to what the human body can perceive.

A good chunk of hate at bottled water is thrown at the cheap bottled water like Costco's bottled water. Yes it's from tap and it's gone through an RO process, but chances are that's better than what you have through your own faucet at home. Depending where you live, you could get a lot of deposits in your water. For example, I use a brita filter at home, but there's a lot of scaling buildup. I want to guess its calcium. Sometimes I get algae growing in the pitcher too. This is weird because during college (I lived 1 hr away from home), this was NEVER an issue. No matter how much I try to clean our brita pitcher at home, organics grow, and there's always a bunch of scaling. This goes to show that my water source at home is outright terrible compared to what I had in college. And given how dirty our college apartment was, and how rarely I cleaned our pitcher, I was surprised we couldn't see build up at all.

Chances are, you're fine drinking tap, but there's no almost no question in my mind you can eliminate impurities going through an RO process that even Costco's water will give you. If you shoot for bottled water, you might as well get spring water IMO. You can go look at some bottling companies and their sampling info. Look at their trace metal analysis and compare it to your local water source. I compared Arrowhead and Fiji with 2 local municipal water sources and the bottled ones were definitely better.

interesting.... are your teeth sensitive to the cold or something?

Nope, my teeth are strong like Ukraine. I drink a lot of water and I can't drink it very quickly if it's too cold, my gullet can't handle it. :hmm:

I can tell the diff in battled water too so much so all I like is Evian but I'd like to try it.

Rofl Fiji water

I laugh at saps paying good money for a repackaging of stuff they can get much cheaper. Marketing money going to work.

Before everyone shouts "BUT ITS SOOO SMOOTH AND SPECIAL", I've had Fiji water on multiple occassions, and it tastes the same as cheap water I drink at home.

People complain about gas prices, and then buy water at 1000% markup that is more expensive per gallon than gas. It's ridiculous.

The water from the taps around here blows, so I just get several gallons of distilled water a month for like 80 cents each, works for me. It's very very very plain, as it's almost utterly pure of anything but water to an extreme degree.

Wait, so because you can't tell the difference between Fiji and the cheap water you drink at home. That means nobody can? LOL you remind me of the dude I use to hang out who said Bud tasted just like Sam Adams to him. You can't tell a difference, I can I assure you. PLEASE tell me what Fiji is repackaged from, because I'd love to find it for cheaper.

But you cant because it's not repackaged, which means you're full of shit.

As someone who works in the industry, i cant really tell you how the water is filtered.
What i can tell you is that 90% of it comes from a municipal water source and is run though a filtration system. The funny taste you get out of some brands is from the liquid N2 they put in the bottle after filling.

Another thing is that its not always Fiji filling the bottles. They hire a lot of the work out to copackers to fill product, and i will tell you that their testing is not nearly as good as the big boys.

Water tastes different depending on where it comes from. Anyone who disputes that has dead tastebuds. I don't usually buy water, but some of the best I've had was from WalMart. It came from a local area, and tasted like mountain water. The best part was it about $1 a gallon. I'll have to try Fiji some time. I usually get store brand when I'm out, and want something unsweetened. I'll pay a premium for water that tastes good though.

I can also tell the difference and will say that the closest I have ever had to Evian is Fiji so give it a try sometime.

That being said, I prefer the tap water in my hometown to all bottle water (also pulled off an artesian well). The tap water in the town I'm living in now is absolutely disgusting (pulled off a lake). As such, I use a Brita filter most of the time. Makes it bearable.

In addition, for the price you pay for Evian or Fiji, I'd just assume get Perrier...

I like sparkling mineral water. Gerolsteiner's my favorite, but Perrier's good too. Italian water can go to to hell. All the Italian water I've had has ranged from average to bad.

Really? You don't like it and I'm a sap for thinking it tastes unique and enjoying it? Oh, OK. I'm sorry. God knows I want to do the right thing. I'm really sorry I felt like this. I'll only drink tap water from now on and will never buy another bottle of Fiji.

Thank you for setting me straight.

$45 X 12 = $490 = lol

Am I the only one to notice that these two... er... "brilliant specimens"... are two of the most ardent apple fan boys in AT?

lol

It's good.

I wouldn't pay the premium for it, though. Poland Spring is acceptable to me.
I don't drink the tap water where I live (suburbs of NYC) because it has an unpleasant taste. New York City tap is ok, however, and I don't mind drinking it.
