BEIJING — What began as a goodwill trip to China for the Georgetown men’s basketball team turned violent Thursday night, when its exhibition game against the Bayi Rockets deteriorated into a melee during which players exchanged blows, chairs were thrown and spectators tossed full water bottles as Hoyas players and coaches headed to the locker room at Olympic Sports Center Stadium.
Georgetown Coach John Thompson III pulled his players off the court with 9 minutes 32 seconds left in the game and the scored tied at 64 after a chaotic scene in which members of both teams began throwing punches and tackling one another.

looks like the georgetown player swung first and then tried to run.

LMAO, overhead elbow, followed up with ground and pound by the chinese player at 20s. someone's been watching some UFC.

Who was the guy in the khaki shorts? Love how he is front and center and not even playing.

Hard to say who won. Looks like it was a draw to me.

Damn, that one poor guy looked like he was getting pummelled behind the basket.

lets see, 100+ chinese on their home turf vs 20 black guys....

Meh, this is China mainland Chinese, not the pussified Chinese immigrants in US.

These kids probably grew up with same brawls & backstreet gangs that the typical 'black kids' gone through in inner city US.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were evenly matched at 20 vs 20.

I'm from the chinese streets, yo. I had to do math without a calculator!

Looked like a pretty rough and tumble game just from the exchange before the fists started flying.

Then a Hoya took umbrage to a hard high post-pass foul (uncalled) and took a swing. Then ran for the hills.

The Chinese were pretty quick to clear their benches, it seems.

Didn't seem like a fair contest, as the NCAA will likely be involved in any disciplinary actions that need to be taken against Georgetown, whereas the Chinese pro team is likely off the hook.

Also, it did seem like the Chinese pro team was pretty quick to run on the court. Seemed premeditated to me, but no way to tell from some shitty cellphone video.
