That is about the only word I can use to decribe this movie. I saw it last night and DAMN, what a movie. This may end up being the only movie I have ever personally purchased for myself, and is going to be a very large incentive for picking up a DVD player.

There is so much I think I know about the movie after thinking about it, but then again I'm sure there is so much that I don't know. I actually thought the ending was pretty lame (not the plot twisting end, but the actual end of the movie), but that is OK. Actually I think it falls apart a little when it moves on from Fight Club, but again it doesn't matter - this movie is just damn amazing.
 
zippy - 🙂 Well the problem is I had no idea what the movie was. I figured it was some stupid movie about a fight club, which I had absolutley no interest in. If the ads just said "this movie will blow your mind its much much more than fighting and it will make you think" I would have been first in line at the theater 🙂

We....err...they don't have long white coats! They are short...and they are VERY, VERY friendly! THey even have FREE houses with soft, cushy walls! They will give you one if you are nice.

Yep - excellent movie. I found it kinda ironic though - you had Brad Pitt, who probably had 4% body fat and an overall cut look on him criticizing the models on the Calvin Klein ads on the bus.

I bet you just liked the little clips of porno they put throughout the movie, like the big penis at the end =p

The part with Raymond was super funny too.
 
Alien - yea. If I recall right, he said &quot;self-improvement is masturbation&quot; or something like that. Then in a scene where he picks up the phone when the whore was on the phone he was practicing using nunchauks (spelling?).
 
Fight Club is definitely awesome...

I think fight club has the most imaginative (sp?) soundtrack of all time...among it's many other terrific elements.
 
One of the best Ive seen. My wife hates it though . It gave her a headache from watching it 🙂
I told her that just meant it was good . Still didnt get any sex that night ..... maybe the film wasnt that bad to her ............hmmmm could it have been a sinister plot to defraud me ?
I love Fight Club , it's right up there with Indy Jones and Star Wars .
One thing , if you watch it the first time , pause it if you ogtta bathroom break or phone ring . Miss anything and it will be all messed up as a story .
 
Fight Club is a fantastic movie but it's even a better book. The end of the book is classic....nothing like the movie.
 
I am like RossMan ( gasp ) in that I have owend this movie on DVD for about 3 months now, and have still not watched it. Although, I did remove the shrink wrap 😉


Sounds like maybe we will give it a watch tonite.
