Fiber: Best sources, how much, and how important?

With all the focus on protein I kind of forgot about fiber. How important is fiber when it comes to weight loss? How much should you have daily?

Im also trying to get some good foods that have a lot of fiber in them, so far all I really have is Raisin Bran.
