FFS: Why can't I find a decent pair of earbuds for less than $50

I was looking at some the those but I've never heard of the brand.

I'm tired of buying off-brands and having them go to shit after a month.

They're not an off-brand. They've been making IEMs for three years, and are based in California.
(Not sure if they manufacture their stuff there, though)
I've had a pair of M6's since December 2010, and they are like-new. (plus earwax, of course)

Over the weekend I let someone use my Cowon J3 to listen through his M6, he LOVED the player.

Looks clunky, I'm a minimalist... and when I run, the sound quality is a moot point to be honest. I usually rock a pair of M9Ps with a Sansa Clip Zip. So light and simple, doesn't even feel like I have it on me.

i got these for $20 in 2010.

better than the $20 seinheiser's i got from newegg that were originally $90. only thing about them that is somewhat annoying and took getting used to is that the length of the wire when it splits is made to wrap around the back of your head instead of under your chin. i ended up wearing em under my chin instead but it has quite a bit of slack.

im probably going to order another pair at some point. i used em about 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 2 years. eventually one of the earbuds wouldn't work unless you pulled the wire a certain way, which is why i got new ones.

I went from the Zip to my Cowon, I care about SQ so to me it was a great buy. Its no bigger then a smart phone really. I love the Zip don't get me wrong, but the EQ options on my Cowon and the fact I am about the sound I am a happy camper. Now lets just hope tomorrow when my customs arrive they fit. I dread having to send them back for a refit and be gone another 2 weeks, I have been waiting 6 weeks already.

Those are the ones I just told him to get.

I'm trying to figure out why anyone would pay more than $10 for earbuds...

Because even the best cheap earbuds sound terrible if you have any ear for music at all, and you can spend $100-150 instead of $20 and get way, way, WAY better SQ, way better build quality, more comfort, and hella sound isolation

If a Ninja 250 can get you around for 3K, why would you buy that nice triumph or whatever you have >.>

I for one would vote for the NuForce NE-770X. I have their predecessor, the NE-6, and I've been very impressed with them. The audio is very balanced, as opposed to most consumer products which try to blow your ears out with heavy (and poor) bass. Plus it's freedomsbeat212 approved! 😛

Well, fucking dammit shit, UPS messed up on the shipping. My TF10 customs were sent to Georgia along with 17 other items. It appears I wont get them till tomorrow. It is kinda funny that tracking says its out for delivery in GA, when I am not even there.
