I don't need anything fancy. I'm not an audiophile. Matter of fact, I ruined the more sensitive parts of my hearing doing car audio for so long. I just want something that will hold up for more than 3 months without falling apart, has decent (non-tinny) sound, decent mids, and doesn't cost a fortune.

I found a hot deal on a pair of ugly ass Sony's that lil rudeguy checked in before I could even try out. Now that I really need them, I can't find a decent deal anywhere on a brand I've heard of.

OK..narrowed it down to these:

ebay, brah.

I refuse.

I got scammed hardcore a few years ago (selling not buying) and ebay/paypal took my money without even an excuse.

I gave it one more go last year and bought an Xbox hard drive that never shipped.

I'd rather pay an extra $20 and not have to deal with that shit hole

I bought my Image S4 from ebay, now using them with Comply tips. My custom TF10's come tomorrow. Yes I am one of them so called audiophile type.

I'm halfway audiophile and I'm fine with $40 earbuds. But then Im generally not expecting much since I spend my money on speakers.

Get a pair of skullcandies. They should suffice for less than 50

Oh god no, even for cheapos, they suck. Browse the forums at head-fi, even then you can find better.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been treated so rudely there. Personally, I stopped selling by the 'bay about 7 years ago as they made it more difficult/expensive to do business there. When they took the seller's ability to post negative feedback against a buyer ... that was my last straw. As a buyer I've had few problems and am mostly very satisfied. Consider buying there again but only go with sellers with a large number of positive feedback.

I have these. I've been using them every day at work for almost a year now and they're still in-tact and working properly.

Lol I'll take your word for it. Never owned a pair but they seemed reasonably priced from heresay.

Ppl are honestly expecting too much from earbuds. It's either okay or bad. I go for okay now lol. Pretty much if they don't sound like cardboard and can survive many flexes I'm happy.

I bought the 1st pair of earbuds I saw in Target for ~$10 2 years ago. They still work fine, sound fine, and haven't fallen apart.

If you follow woot, wait for them to have the Maximo imetals for like $15. I've got some of them and they are great for the $$. I've had them for over 4 years now and they still work great. Only complaint is the weight. They are fine for sitting at a desk, but they won't stay in your ear if you are bouncing around exercising.

Ive been using Sony extended bass earbuds since 1996 (about 5 pairs). After a while the foam covers degrade and fall off and you are left with the hard shell that causes discomfort after a few hours. They can be replaced however.

After a few years of daily use for 8 hours a day (a few thousand hours) one side will eventually give out due to being pulled and tugged into a short.

For <$10 you cant beat it.

I was looking at some the those but I've never heard of the brand.

I'm tired of buying off-brands and having them go to shit after a month.

MEElectronics are awesome... I wouldn't call them an off brand. I have 3 pairs, 2 died due to sweat from running. I ruin a pair every year but at the prices, beats ruining my more expensive ones. :p

They often go on sale for ~$10 so if you can wait, keep your eyes peeled on slickdeals, they go front page every now and again.

Over the weekend I let someone use my Cowon J3 to listen through his M6, he LOVED the player.
