How do you rationalize it when the GQP blatantly proves you wrong? I'm genuinely curious. You are retired IIRC, probably have prescriptions?
We saw the Dems vote alongside Rs during 2016-202 to get much needed assistance to struggling people, they swallowed their pride and did their jobs, even if their concerns were mostly ignored. On the flip side just recently, we saw every. single. repug. vote NO to lower prescription drug prices in the Inflation Reduction Act.
Who is it that you blamed for that? We can agree that Americans get shafted by big pharma, right? Or are you one of those people who somehow like things like $300 insulin, $600 Epipens, etc?
Also, what did the GQP do that made everything better? I've never been able to get a factual answer to that, can you help me?

Pretty much what I'm expecting to be honest, should he man up and actually answer a direct question with a relevant answer. The Dems being responsible for Repugs being horrible people is a well worn theme for Team Treason. Will he, won't he? Wait and see. Maybe he can illuminate how PACT for vets make everything worse, you know, for vets like him.

I am retired and take one prescription 20 mg Atorvastatin daily. I think that Drug prices should be controlled and negotiated. I also do not have an issue with the ACA being extended. These things should be passed on their own individual merits and not cobbled together under some fake premise of "The Inflation Reduction Act". Exactly what it doesn't do.
The key is why did they vote against lower drug prices. HINT: It wasn't the lower drug prices that they voted against.

Buying an EV to get a $7,500 credit that the carmakers have already increased their EV prices to match that amount more or less.
EV cost of $60,000. Most people cannot afford to spend that. The grid is not capable of supporting it even if it were affordable. Like when CA was telling people to not plug in their EV due to overtaxed electric grid.
I know several people that have placed Solar Panels on their house. They all agree it was a waste of money. It also greatly increases the cost for a re-roof when needed. Their electric bills are about on par with mine without solar panels.
I am curious as to what you think his baggage is, how he got it, and why you see it as a problem.
As far as opinions go, they can vary greatly in validity , I assume you would agree, not to mention the subjective and localized environmental conditions that contribute to their formation. Three things:
1) You can get an EV for a bit over half your quoted price. That being said, Biden and Manchin are trying to pass permitting reform that would greatly improve our grid but unfortunately that is being filibustered by Republicans.
2) We definitely need to hire a lot more IRS agents. Republicans have been defunding the police in the tax realm for years now and it's rendered the agency almost nonfunctional. Fund the police!
3) If you want things to each be debated and passed on their own merits then you must support elimination of the filibuster. The primary reason for these omnibus bills is you can only pass one reconciliation bill to avoid the filibuster per year so you have to make it count. Join with me in destroying the filibuster!

I do in fact like the PACT along with Drug Price Controls, Chips and Science and I have also stated many times I agree with realistic gun control laws such as they passed. The Infrastructure has some good points also.
I never stated that the Democrats are all bad and no good such as you and your ilk are always spewing about anyone that isn't a Democrat or disagrees with your agenda.

3.) I'm fine with doing away with the filibuster. I think if the Dems do away with it they will regret it when the house controls shifts. Every thing should pass on its own merits. The real reason they throw this crap into one bill is to get things passed that will not stand on its own. We all know this.

Well the filibuster is only for the senate but I sincerely doubt they will regret it. Like, what would republicans possibly pass? They already nuked the filibuster for things they like to pass like tax cuts. It only exists for things Democrats like.
For the people who say without the filibuster republicans would repeal the ACA or whatever they already tried that and failed to get 50 votes.

Partly false. The Inflation Reduction Act, passed in July, provides funding to potentially hire that many IRS employees over the next decade as existing employees quit and retire, but the new employees will not all be hired at the same time and many will not be auditors.

Something about this seems wrong to me. The median solar panel degrades about .5% a year. At 20 years you still get about 90% efficiency. Typical payback period is 3 to 5 years. If you bought a tiny system you would still need grid power and have a high expense even after 5 years. A larger system with battery backup could put you off grid. On grid could provide you with a check from the power company in many places but you can bet the Republicans and the power companies will do what they can to eliminate that incentive.

The article says that they currently have 80,000 employees. So in the next 10 years they are going to replace them all plus 7,000 new employees. Seems to be one hell of a turnover rate.

Great article/excerpt from Robert Draper, someone who spent a lot of time covering republicans and got to see the shift to lunacy up close. I share his feelings on the self-certitude aspect, and will admit to being dismayed when I see it here in this forum.
The other part I couldn't agree more with, it's why people like jwade acting offended is hilarious:
