The American equivalent would be to hire a home decorater
Oh, believe me, if she could afford it, she would. She has stacks of decorating magazines taller than me! Now if only she could finish one project before starting three others ...

I just did a search on Feng Shui.....
I've never even heard about it before this.
Very strange. I guess that everyone needs some "religion" to follow.

I hate people who believe in that sh!t. If feng shui was a religion, I'd be a Anti-Feng shuite.

That's a bit harsh isn't it? 😕 I understand disliking the idea, but people who believe, or who try to apply the idea? I think it is goofy, nothing more, nothing less.

feng shui is nothing more than a placebo effect. its has the same effect that "spring cleaning" has. you feel better about it afterwards, but in reality all you've done was move some stuff around.

Not really a religion per se. I think things like this are based on basic principles, i.e. functionality, and basic flow of a room for example. These ideas were then incorporated into a system of 'proper way to do it'. It is about balance as far as I can tell.

I said almost this exact thing to her last night, and to an extent, to her credit, she agreed with me. 😀

umm..Feng Shui isn't a religion, but more of a way of life style. When you have a clean and organized living space, doesn't it make you feel at easy and relaxed when you walk in to the room? I sure do. Feng Shui is kind of like that and it also has to do with Zin and Yen stuff.

I'm not usually one to dismiss things out of hand without careful consideration, but my limits were tested last night when I returned home from the golf course. My wife has rearranged our bedroom, which in itself, I have absolutely no problem with. However, she has done son in accordance with some feng shui rules, saying our relationship is suffering because 'our relationship corner was empty'.

At some point in the conversation she also read a quote where having the dog bed in a certain corner caused the author of the book she was reading and her husband to have a 'threesome' with the dog relationship-wise. It was all I could do not to laugh outright and roll my eyes.

I'm all for new ideas, and functional, cleaner rooms, but can anyone else honestly tell me anything useful about Feng Shui?

your marriage was suffering because HER relationship crevice was empty.
