A small replica of a badge (could be a card too) given to family members of police officers. I keep it in my wallet, but in plain view, and if the cop mentions it, I ask if he extends courtesy.

It's technically misuse of it, but cops usually mention it so I always ask.

Ok I have to ask then, what is the PROPER use of this "courtesy badge"? What is the point of it?

To be honest, I don't know. I think in the past it was given as an award to show that you support the police department, usually to people who donate large amounts of money, or participate in community events.

My sister's ex-husband gave me one a long time ago, he's a cop in midtown Manhattan (or was, I don't know if he is still there).

When I was young my mom remarried a cop, even after they divorced that shit still showed up when she would get pulled over. Even a couple years after the divorce. Was actually with her a few times when she got out of tickets because of it.

girls don't have to offer anything in trade. usually just a quick flirt, cry, feign confusion, whatever works well enough.

I'd say 40-50% of women shouldn't be getting speeding tickets, assuming they know what to do...

yeah, my GF's ex was an ex-cop. She had the donation badge on her car, which generally prevented being stopped or harassed. Of course, he never got charged for anything simply being an ex-cop.

LOL...I was at a bar, some dude wanted to buy my friend's g/f and my g/f a drink. We then went, "Hey, what about us, man, hook us up". He just gave us this weird look.....

that happened to me once with my ex wife, she took the drink and brought it to me, i waved at the guy and said thanks. he wasnt happy, but he didnt get stupid.

i have a friend that still gets out of tickets with her cleavage card. she wont admit it, but even her daughter tells stories of her getting out of tickets for nothing at all.

One of exes used to try showing skin and whatnot in an attempt to get out of tickets (she was a notorious speeder and was actually deemed to be a reckless driver due to all of the speeding tickets she accumulated).

She would do things like hike her skirt up to show her underwear to the officer, or pull her shirt down to show a tonne of cleavage (even more than usual because she had big boobs. She said it worked something like 50% of the time; if it didn't work she'd get pissed and yell at the cops.

Classy girl. :D

I've only ever been let go by two cops, once was cus I guess the cop was just being nice as I was driving 60mph down a 45mph zone. The other cop pulled me over, said I was speeding and had tint on my front windows. I was pissed because he stopped me right in front of my destination and started mouthing off so he cuffed me, threw me over the hood of his cruiser, searched me, tested to see if I was on any drugs, and threw me in the back of his car. Only reason why I was let go was cus some other cop, must have been one of his buddies came driving by and acted like he was going to do a drive-by on the cop that cuffed me and drove by slow with his gun pointed at him and scared him. They started acting like they were shooting each other, doing gun sound effects with their mouths and the other cop said that they had to go that a something something, whatever number codes they use, was in progress. Must have been a murder or something cus he un-cuffed me right away and told me not to fuck around and drove off.

i have gotten a warning, once...

was doing like 55 in a 35 at 7am... no one walks/rides on this road, there is a small park, and its CURVY as hell...

suddenly a cop car comes around the bend, and pulls into the small park i know im hit, she pulls out behind me... i know this road right where i am at is very curvy, and hilly, so i flip on my hazards, and slow down, crawl all the way through the curves, and get to an area where both her car and my car are easily visible from both sides...

she walks up and goes "if you have a license and registration, you will get a warning".

i have never moved that fast to pull out my info.

This seems to be a common issue in the Barely Legal movies.
And always seems to have the same solution........

I did when I was younger but stopped years before that happened.

You guys with chicks that were with another chick that blew a cop....you realize they probably aren't telling you the full story right?
