Fell asleep at work

So my eyes were really hurting from my 19" CRT. I think I've gotten used to my 19" LCD too much. Closed my eyes and it felt better.

I put on Jimmy Eat World - Kill and then it went to Work and then 23 and then Drugs or Me. Basically hte songs got softer and more relaxing so I soon slumped over and put my head down on my desk. Woke up when Drugs or Me ended and Bowling for Soup started. I jumped up actually cuz it was too loud. So after my 15 min rest I checked e-mail and I found something weird.

It was an MMS. I was like wtf? I picked up my phone and I knew I didnt sign up for any MMS services so I opened the e-mail and it was a picture of me passed out on my desk.

That's awesome. Hopefully your manager was cool about the whole thing. I know I couldn't help but to laugh talking to them about the picture.

I did go talk to him afterwards. I walked over there and he was talking with a few people. He pointed right at me and burst out laughing so loud that ppl outside his office were like wtf??? And then he proceeded to show the 3 ppl in his office the picture. And then he took another picture of my hair all messed up and sent that.... So yea, the whole IT department saw.

He knows I have nothing to do. I bugged him all day to setup a system for me and he was finally like "ok probably not gonna happen." It's the end of the job for me anyways.

Oh so I did post it before.. LoL.

Cuz I was so sure I posted this thread and so I did a search for "sleep" by me but I found nothing.

So I searched other stuff and I found my thread where I got caught for pokering at work....

I would have curled up and lay underneath the desk. Nobody would EVER look for you there. Just assume you were off being productive somewhere else.

I've got a cot in the back of the server room. It's there mainly for those all-nighters when an exchange server crashes or a domain controller goes on the fritz. But I've used it on tired hung-over mornings since you need a special key card to get into the server room :p

Heh. I used to do that. I worked a 7PM-7AM shift on Saturday nights. By myself. I was the only person on a 25,000 sq/ft floor, and one of about 15 people in the entire 10 story building.

The hours of 3:00AM-5:00AM were DEAD. I took, maybe, 3 calls a month in those hours. So I'd just crank up the ringer volume on my phone, grab a jacket/sweatshirt/whatever and curl up under the desk for a snooze. I always had calls coming in at 6:00AM so those were my wakeups before the 7:00AM replacement came in.

i had a roommate in college who preferred to sleep on the floor instead of the "beds" the dorms provided.
And by roommate, i mean me.

It's better than it sounds. Actually very comfortable sometimes.

In college, I slept on a flip chair on the floor most of the time. It was more comfortable than the thing they tried passing off as a matress.
