This happened to me before. I was waiting for a package from FedEx and saw it as delivered on the tracking. I went home and there was nothing. I looked on my balcony (above the door... UPS has actually tossed stuff up there before!) and talked to my neighbors.

I then called FedEx to see what they could do. I also found out why they need 48 hours to respond to you... it got delivered the next day.

:frown:

I really hope that's the case..

I dont mind another day of waiting as long as I get it.

sigh.

thanks for the info

I must have a new UPS guy, because he actually rang the bell, knocked on the door, and -get this - waited for me to answer it on a package that wasn't even Signature Required. In the past, they haven't even made it all the way to the front door before they were dropping boxes and scampering back to the truck. I have a 15' or so front porch/walkway behind hedges and one time they left two LCD monitors right their in plain view because they couldn't be bothered to walk the extra 5 steps.

I hate explaining this shit but if they were to wait for everybody you'd never get your package because they're busy bastards. I ran a small suburban route last year that received more than triple it's normal volume during holiday season. When you have hundreds of stops to make in a day you aren't going to wait.

But, the reason someone waited I would assume is that the driver dropped a helper on your street. He was probably waiting for his driver to come back and took his time.

Sorry, but thanks for playing. ;) Population density on my street wouldn't warrant a helper, plus his truck was sitting in my driveway. I don't necessarily care if they wait and put it in my hand (especially this package that was a $10 item), but when it is obviously something of value (like two LCD monitors in plainly labelled manufacturer's boxes) at least make an effort.

And OP - glad you got your package. :)

My fedex package was to be delivered on 12/16 but then they changed the date to 12/18. Then I check my tracking and it said delivered and on front porch but no package. And it's a Christmas present. I have called and made a claim. I'm so frustrated.

I was thinking maybe the driver put it was delivered and just left the package at my post office. Anyone had this happen to them.
