Federal judge strikes down Texas ban on gay marriage

It's mind-boggling. Honestly, I do think it's too early for Texas to lift bans on things like gay marriage. They should work on lifting their ban on public libraries, first. All that evil learnin!

I think Texas should lift the ban. That way, we can use it to shame every other state into legalizing it. "Hey, Texas allowed gay marriage before you. Do you still allow slavery? Fuck, you're behind the times <other state>!"

The health risks of male gay sex are definitely higher than those of heterosexual sex but the risks of lesbian sex is by far the lowest so I don't know where it gets us to talk about the health dangers of being gay.

I hear they have sex with scissors, I don't know how that's not dangerous.

either way it seems silly to police people based on their sexual behavior unless you want to put cameras in everyone's bedroom to distinguish the gay men who only engage in oral sex from the straight couple who's super into fisting and S&M.

Texas. TEXAS...?
I see two men.
Two cowboys.
They are herding sheep.
It's a cold blistery night.
The sheep are sleeping.
One cowboy is sleeping.
But the other cowboy?
He's reads the ruling off his cell phone.
He has the CNN app for breaking news.
(queue romantic music)
Blame the sheep.

I thought people grew out of this by their early 20s.
Hah! Never!

Were I a Frenchman, I would sue in this case on grounds that I am being discriminated against because of my frenchiness!
LOL That's one form of discrimination I'd approve. BO-based discrimination FTW.

LOL Yeah, it's dangerous, but it's totally worth it.

Everybody has something which is a high risk factor, even if it's only couch potato-ness or high blood pressure from worrying that gay marriage might pass. And personally I'm not worried about the openly gay guys, but the closeted gay guys who have lots of anonymous sex but then occasionally bang girls so people won't think they are gay. Those are the people with the potential to rain on my parade. If I wasn't married anyway. And, you know, old and fat and ugly. Come to think of it, the closeted gay guys aren't much of a threat to me either.

I'll be glad when this is all behind us (so to speak) and we can return to important things like banning texting while driving. Those are the people who are really a threat to me.

I'm all for shit stacks dude. Anyways divorces cost a lot more than poa attorney and we wouldn't be having these debates right now so we could concentrate on more important issues as a nation.

divorces only cost a bunch because people want to hold onto their own property and/or claim their partner's property. they don't have to cost a lot; there are plenty of cheap agreed divorces out there.

the recent rise in popularity of ending marriage as a social institution just smacks of taking your ball and leaving.

Tobacco causes cancer - no ban on it's use.

It's limited (because others don't want smoke in their face), but not banned.

And, no one has gay sex in front of other people (like you would/could smoke a cigar),... so what is the issue?

Use bing and put in "up your alley folsom street parade" plenty of public gay sex with some hetero thrown in, but they might have cracked down on it due to photos on the internet the last few years.

I'm reading this thread as my cat is trying to get some from a blanket. I guess we should ban cats and blankets too, the cat's being immoral! God didn't put cats on this earth to boogy down with blankets!
