Disney caters to a certain crowd and content. Drawing thoes parallels is just being incredibly lame with the sarcasm.

well, if parents moniter what their kids are watching then they can choose shows that don't say the f word.
you can't monitor your kids 24/7

why? who does it benefit?
The censorship is inherently built into the market. So, further censorship is extraneous.Quote

You can't watch your child 24.7, everyone with children knows that. But the responsibility does not fall on everyone else, to fill thoes gaps.Another thing is, WHY WHY WHY do we manipulate our lifestyles to such extremes for children and the whole politically correct thing? Hell, being policically correct is practically FOR the children.
It's not like reality isn't going to be there to bite them in the ass eventually. Stop sheltering your kids.
Stop shuffling off your parental responsibilities to an inanimate object.
Stop putting the stress on govt. to make this a child friendly world, so you can slack off on being a parent.
Be the friggin parent you are supposed to be, you whipped up the batch, now bake the fvcking cookies.
It's not mine, or my friends, or families, or my congressmans responsibility to raise your damned kid, or keep it away from things it should not be around.

. . . according to everyone in here so far, there should be no censorship. So even if we let our kids watch the Disney Channel, Mickey, Minney and Goofy could all have an orgy and it would be no big deal.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were in divorce court and the judge said to Mickey, "You say here that your wife is crazy." Mickey replied, "I didn't say she was crazy, I said she's fvcking Goofy."

I think once you have kids and grow up a bit, your views on no censoring will change. You can't tell me letting a kid see and hear filth and garbage does not have any effect on them. Like most of you point out, a child will run into this sort of stuff eventually, but I don't want a kid to think it is acceptable behavior. By the reasoning in this post, you should hand the kid a loaded gun right as he will eventually be able to have one. The fact is children need and even crave guidance, and yes cursing is not the end of the world, but it is the beginning of lack of respect for yourself and those around you. Flame away.![]()

I used to use the F word... A LOT. I was about 17. Now it'd be weird if I used it 5 times a year.
I think it's a bit crude to be using it on primetime tv channels. There's no good reason for it. Maybe the writers will get their jollies from using it for the first few weeks and that'll be the end of it.
