Comey's maneuver is patently Trumpian. As I read his "letter" to the Congress I could not shake off the imaginary voice whispering "People are talking about it," "There is something going on."

Federal agents are preparing to scour roughly 650,000 emails tha, were discovered on Anthony Weiner's laptop to see how many relate to a prior probe of Hillary Clinton’s email use. Metadata on the device suggests there may be thousands sent to or from the private server that the Democratic nominee used while she was secretary of state.

More stunning is just how many emails were found on Weiner's computer. And while one can only imagine the content of some of the more persona ones, the WSJ writes that the latest development began in early October when New York-based FBI officials notified Andrew McCabe, the bureau’s second-in-command, that while investigating Mr. Weiner for possibly sending sexually charged messages to a minor, they had recovered a laptop with 650,000 emails. Many, they said, were from the accounts of Ms. Abedin, according to people familiar with the matter.

Some depressing news for Trump supporters and conservatives in general from an experienced, winning campaign veteran:

Clinton path to 300+ rock solid. Structure of race not affected by Comey's reckless irresponsibility. Vote and volunteer, don't fret or wet

— David Plouffe (@davidplouffe) October 30, 2016

Good news for everybody else though! :D

Doug Schoen, a democratic strategist, who has been an ardent supporter, just said today he can no longer support her and if she is elected it will result in a constitutional crisis.

Schoen plays a liberal on Fox/NewsMax. IOW a 'liberal' who rents himself out to conservative media. Whoopee...

Does he have a crystal ball or something?

How would he possibly "know"?

Just another biased opinion.

Nope, just a brain and a bit of experience that you don't have nor understand. That's OK, it doesn't change the truth of what he said. I guess we will see in a bit over a week, eh? :D

And he is noted for being in Obamas back pocket. Did you think he would say otherwise?

I don't know, You don't know and neither does Mr. Plouffe.

Educated guess I would buy. Rock solid in the bag nope. That is unless the race is fixed...

Oh the suspense, I love it.

This is like watching a TV drama, I can't wait for the next episode, what's going to happen next?

I wonder what Clinton was trying to hide by destroying these emails. Must be something very unprecidential worthy.

Since you believe that he's in Obama's back pocket and Hillary is an evil beast who should be imprisoned for life, I predict that it will clear to you that the election is fixed when it's over and Hillary wins. Thanks for playing Stupid: Your Life, you win!

And so does Hillary... see ya November 9th so we can celebrate being right together! :D

He is in Obamas back pocket. Can you show me where he isn't?

Hillary is an evil beast. I never said she should be imprisoned for life. So that would make you a liar.

I stated that the Best Mr. Plouffe could do is offer an educated guess. He has no crystal ball and connot tell the future. Oh and neither can you or I.

Thanks for being stupid and trying to put words in my mouth. You fail.

Why is it my responsibility to prove that, and why do you automatically assume that he's in it? Is it OK if I assume that you hang out with child molesters until you prove otherwise?

Hillary is an evil beast. I never said she should be imprisoned for life. So that would make you a liar.

So I exaggerated (slightly)... something you do in every single post...lol! I had the "beast" part right and I was just guessing, so thanks! :D

While he doesn't know the future he does have extensive experience from leading a historically famous election team that won a major election. Your credentials or may I just laugh?

Thanks for being stupid and trying to put words in my mouth. You fail.

I don't need to put words in your mouth, you have the best words. Seriously... just like your candidate! Later, enough for me for now and thanks for the cheap amusement, remember we will talk about this again on election day...lol!

Nice conspiracy theory, rife with innuendo & speculation. Congratulations- you may be thinking like a Rightwinger. Question Comey's judgement if you want but questioning his integrity is uncalled for.

Comey acting in his own self-interest is not a conspiracy any more than yourself trying to get ahead at work. Generally speaking people who value integrity over self-interest don't get very far in the power structure.

You're criticizing Obama's former campaign manager and chief strategist for being "known to be in Obama's back pocket"?

OK.

This is like that SNL sketch where Alec Trump announces that his super smart and terrific researchers are digging up some information regarding Hillary's husband (a guy named Bill Clinton, who was also president by the way--most of you didn't know that) about some affair he had some years ago. Her name was Monica something, and she was heavy. Stay tuned.

Seriously this email bullshit Ned's to end already. Only the right wing nut jobs care about these damn emails. Who the fuck cares!! Trump is not going to win and let's appoint a justice already.

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

You already pointed out why this meaningless bullshit over rather mundane emails won't stop. When people are truly convinced of something, on the level of climate change is chinese hoax or clinton should be in jail, they only yearn for validation of those beliefs. It's the role of con men to provide that validation in a confidence game to get something in return, and there's every reason to believe these professionals are rather competent. Eg. that's why the approx same 40% of the country still believe evolutionary theory is work of the devil despite so many generations of educators trying their best. There's every possibility that these folks will take the conviction that these emails prove clinton is the anti-christ to the grave and then some.

it's a shame Republicans chose to nominate someone so bad that it honestly doesn't matter... I can't think of a single moral failing that might be uncovered in Hillary's aide's emails that would hold a candle to the catastrophic policies Trump wants to enact.
You used the phrase "moral failing" when you should have used "illegal activity". Huge difference there. This isn't a matter of poor judgement, it's a matter of national security and the laws that pertain to it. And drawing a conclusion on what has occurred and what is occurring with what might happen is absurd. You are more than smart enough to understand how our government operates. We don't elect Dictator's, we elect people that head up one branch of three of the government. A president Trump as would a president Clinton have to work with the Legislative and Judicial branches to accomplish anything.

Eichenwald has a new article on the lying crook known as Trump up at Newsweek. It seems that when it comes to disappearing emails and other correspondence a court demands from him, Trump is an expert at it.

From the article:

Over the course of decades, Donald Trump’s companies have systematically destroyed or hidden thousands of emails, digital records and paper documents demanded in official proceedings, often in defiance of court orders. These tactics—exposed by a Newsweek review of thousands of pages of court filings, judicial orders and affidavits from an array of court cases—have enraged judges, prosecutors, opposing lawyers and the many ordinary citizens entangled in litigation with Trump. In each instance, Trump and entities he controlled also erected numerous hurdles that made lawsuits drag on for years, forcing courtroom opponents to spend huge sums of money in legal fees as they struggled—sometimes in vain—to obtain records.

This behavior is of particular import given Trump’s frequent condemnations of Hillary Clinton, his Democratic opponent, for having deleted more than 30,000 emails from a server she used during her time as secretary of state. While Clinton and her lawyers have said all of those emails were personal, Trump has suggested repeatedly on the campaign trail that they were government documents Clinton was trying to hide and that destroying them constituted a crime. The allegation—which the FBI concluded was not supported by any evidence—is a crowd-pleaser at Trump rallies, often greeted by supporters chanting, “Lock her up!”

Trump’s use of deception and untruthful affidavits, as well as the hiding or improper destruction of documents, dates back to at least 1973, when the Republican nominee, his father and their real estate company battled the federal government over civil charges that they refused to rent apartments to African-Americans. The Trump strategy was simple: deny, impede and delay, while destroying documents the court had ordered them to hand over.

Why am I not surprised? It's clear that Trump is a lying, deceiving crook who uses his wealth to screw over other people, that history is irrefutable. That he would also hide or destroy records to prevent justice from being served on his ass isn't a stretch. Hillary may have an email problem but Trump is nothing but a walking, talking, nonstop plethora of problems.

That's a quality candidate you got there, GOP...lol!

^Don't try changing the subject. Clinton was caught red handed. Again.

Shove it... here's some more for you to enjoy:

This review of Trump’s many decades of abusing the judicial system, ignoring judges, disregarding rules, destroying documents and lying about it is not simply a sordid history lesson. Rather, it helps explain his behavior since he declared his candidacy. He promised to turn over his tax returns and his health records—just as he promised to comply with document discovery requirements in so many lawsuits—then reneged. As a result, he has left a sparse evidentiary trail that can be used to assess his wealth, his qualifications for the presidency or even his fitness. Should voters choose him to be the next U.S. president, he will enter the Oval Office as a mystery, a man who has repeatedly flouted the rules. He has solemnly told the country to trust him while refusing to produce any records to prove whether he speaks the truth or has utter contempt for it.

What, nothing about the killing Trump made in cattle futures?

If you're talking about the loads of bullshit his supporters are eating in hopes of him winning in the future, nope.
