NES: Ninja Gaiden (lots of fun times with this game but I still haven't beaten it and I lost the cart. I need to get another copy someday)

Well the prices only seem to be going up on the NG series games. They didn't really sell a crap ton of the second or third games so they are not only popular, but also scarce. Add in the fact that the people buying them now don't have much intention of keeping them a year or so and selling them again, and they are only going to go up higher in price the longer you wait...

For me this is a hard list to make. I think the only one that is easy to pick is N64.

N64: Goldeneye and Starfox64

SNES: FFIII (FFVI), runner-ups "Secret of Mana", "Chrono Trigger", FFII (FFIV), "Super Metroid", "Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past", "Street Fighter 2 Turbo", "Star Fox" all are very much in there

NES: "Contra", runner-ups "Legend of Zelda", "Mike Tyson's Punchout!", "Final Fantasy", "SMB:3", "Life Force"

And yes, I really mean "Mike Tyson's Punchout!" and not the later re-release "Punchout! with Mr. Dream". It just isn't the same game. There are a lot of hidden gems out there. I read that interview posted above and I definitely have to agree on most of that list, especially "Hover Force" on the Intellivision, although I will say probably my favorite Intellivision games are "Tron: Deadly Discs" and "Nightstalker".

NES: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

Really? I mean, I know I loved it as a kid. I actually got this one before I got the first because the first was sold out for forever before Nintendo of America allowed another batch to be made (the first one is the whole reason I wanted a NES, but Contra became my favorite game). This game is/was about as hard as they come (and are still playable). Back then without a strategy guide, the game was ridiculous, at least now we have the interwebs...

N64: OoT (only N64 game I really played extensively)

SNES: FFII, Zelda LTP, SF2 Turbo, FFIII, S Metroid, Mario World. ...probably the most played

NES: shit...Simon's Quest, Zelda I/II, someone said Faxanadu! Yeah!!!And: up up down down left right left right b a (select) start

N64: Super Mario Cart
Snes:--Chrono Trigger
--Donkey Kong Country
--Final Fantasy II (IV)
--Final Fantasy III (VI)
--MK3 ultimate-

N64: LoZ:OoT: This game defined a genre for over a decade.

SNES: Chrono Trigger: There were a lot of good RPGs on the SNES, but this may be the best of all time.

😎

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Nes: Kirby's Dream Land: This game pushed the hell out of the NES and even managed to blow away Mario in terms of depth and gameplay.

NES: Kid Icarus probably, though I played a lot of Bubble Bobble and other stuff too (anyone remember Friday the 13th?).

SNES: Street Fighter II

KT

N64 - Goldeneye / Ocarina of Time
SNES - did not own, but played a lot of Super Mario World at friends
NES - Mario / RBI Baseball

NES: Rush and Attack

OK, that was the first NES game I ever played and I loved the hell out of it.

...though I always remember it as Russian Attack?
:hmm:
either it was changed to be more PC, or just my 8 year-old self hearing things all wrong.

Hmm tough.

NES probably Bubble Bobble, maybe the Volleyball/World Cup Soccer double cart, or possibly River City Ransom. I don't really remember the NES all that fondly, I certainly remember being able to be entertained by pretty much any game on it but none really stick out all that much. Mario 1, 2, and 3, and the Zeldas do but I never really loved any of them all that much.

SNES really tough but probably Super Metroid. Lots of good ones though and lots of good memories (playing Donkey Kong Country with one of my sisters, constantly asking my oldest sister to let me play Mario Kart on her SNES).

N64 really tough again. Goldeneye or Smash Bros but so many 4 player games. We played the THQ wrestling games a lot too. And Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Perfect Dark, even Gauntlet Legends was fun. Oh and Mario Kart and NBA Hangtime. I definitely played Ocarina of Time plenty. It might have been the last system that I could play just about any game and have some fun. Usually with a few friends.

OK, that was the first NES game I ever played and I loved the hell out of it.

SNES: Super Tennis

I think that's the name. The last opponent is the devil. My room mates and I tried for about a month to beat the game and never could. We knew how but the consistency required was insane.

N64: Super Mario World. First game I saw on it. AWESOME. Bond 0078 was probably the best game on the console though.

Nintendo: No expert here but Many of hte mario world games were awesome. Props to Mike Tysons punchout also.

Nintendo=Zelda/1 & 2, Crystalis, Contra, Time lords, Legacy of the wizards

SuperNintendo= Chrono-trigger, Zelda, Lufia, Breath of fire, Contra

Nintendo 64=Ocarina of time/Majoras mask, supermario 64, Mega man legends, Turock,

Final Fantasy - I still play the original cuz the remakes were pussified too much. Also like Crystalis but its not number 1 with me.

Zelda 3, or Final Fantasy 3. Hard to say. Actually theres a crapload of SNES games I love, difficult to pick a fave.

Shadows of the Empire: I didnt like the N64 much, especially since they lost the Final Fantasy line. I hated Dash Rendar too, but finally doing the Hoth run in full 3D was a joy. The SNES version was annoyingly ugly and bad.

N64: Zelda: OoT (My #2 console game ever)
SNES: Super Metroid (My #1 console game ever)
NES: The Legend of Zelda

I liked the SNES the most out of any console I ever owned. The games on it were amazing (Zelda: A Link to the Past is my #3 console game ever, Super Mario World 1 and 2, Chrono Trigger, FF 4 and 6, Mega Man X, Secret of Mana and more)

One game I rarely hear anyone talk about was Rygar, which was awesome on the NES.
