I just sat down with Star Fox 64 and beat it in 30 minutes...lol, was a blast to the past, but it surprised me how good the old games can look with some anti-aliasing. What games/systems do you guys like to emulate?

Lots of mame stuff I love the arcade Double Dragons, Contra, old nintendo classics that were never ported correctly. Arcade games just seem to have more classic fun to them since it's hard to find an original arcade of many of those games anymore, nice to have them right at your fingers. N64 is fun too, not too many of those I play anymore but they are fun occasionally.

Strikers 1945 series (good way to relax for 10 minutes)

I also spent countless hours with my Ex playing entirely through Buster Bros.

Well, recently I played through the first Double Dragon. I don't know why, but that game makes me want to go out and fight people.

was playing Parappa The Rapper on ESPSX, that game is freaking impossible with a keyboard! ha. Well to be honest I kind of sucked at it with a gamepad, but shit I suck much worse with my KB :(

Conkers Bad Fur Day is another great one, I never owned an N64 and never played Conkers anywhere so it was cool to finally find out what all the fuss was about (sweet game)

I just got Parappa on the PSP and I can't even pass the 2nd stage. I just can't figure out the damn timing, it seems completely random that you get a good/bad. Just mashing on the buttons in the first stage is enough to get a Cool rating, but then I don't know wtf I'm supposed to do in the freestyle mode. It's a fun game, but playing the same stages over and over again without really knowing what I'm doing is starting to piss me off.

Pretty much in the same boat, there are many N64 games that look absolutely amazing with higher resolution and AA/AF cranked WAY up, and some of them played pretty choppy on the 64 due to limited hardware resources, but today's computers can kick the crap out of it and run the game not only with vastly more aggressive IQ but at a rock solid 60fps.

Heck, some of the N64 games even support widescreen (GoldenEye for example) and make the experience all the better on a 1080p screen.

Phantasy Star 4 and Golden Sun. Actually, a lot of GBA games were great on Visual Boy Advance. Golden Sun 1 & 2, Advance Wars, and a bunch of others.

Phantasy Star 2 for me. One of the greatest games ever in my opinion.

I'm using Project 64, and it seems to work great.

Project 64 works like a champ even on Vista. Has anyone tried MAME on Vista? I have yet to try it but I am thinking about it. If ti doesn't work, is their an alternative that does?

Wait so Project 64 has AA somewhere? Wow. What other emulaters have AA that I've been missing out on? Mostly I just play SNES on my emulator on my DS. Also sometimes on my PC, I play N64 too though and I didn't know it had AA. Gotta try that when I get home

F-Zero!!!

One of the greatest racing games of all time. I'll never get sick of it.

Did you know it expands once you beat king league on expert?

Oh, another sleeper hit for SNES if you like the vertical scrolling shooters:

Strike Gunner S.T.G.
