Sometimes when I'm feeling lucky (I'm chinese also but I get the hankering for some 'gwai lo' style food)............ I go get some 'Kung Pow Action' 😎

Cheers,

kung pow... i like kung poa. but that is real chinese from the hunan or mandarin province i believe. bak gwais think they so slick when they order in pathetic chinese. its kinda sad sometimes.

Actually........ being in a city were Chinese people are the major minority group (Vancouver, BC, Canada), we have a lot of authentic take out places were you could get some good stuff like chickens feet, duck tounge, chicken intestines and cow stomach, mmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmm good 😛 Also dim sum city 😉

Cheers,

Beef and Broccoli, nice and simple.

But don't get me started with Thai food. I just love my Mom's Thai food.

Mmmm, Namuna, Thai food...

Does she make Village Noodles (Pad Thai, I think?)... How about Panang curry?

Oh man, now I won't be happy until I get Thai food for lunch!

Ugh. I can't even eat most of that "Chinese" food so common in North America anymore. Sweet and sour pork is essentially McDonaldsified McPorkNuggets in artificial glow-in-the-dark sauce.

Luckily, I live near a Chinatown in Toronto, and go for good noodles, Soy chicken, or congee at 2 in the morning for US$2.50, or perhaps a nice bowl of Vietnamese Pho, instead of that greasy garbage you find in rural USA. 😛 Luckily, it's getting hard to find that fake Chinese stuff around here now.

I'll have to admit though, Chop Suey, even though it isn't authentic, isn't bad, since all it is is essentially stir fried vegetables etc.
