Who are you favorite gaming characters that you get to be or control?

Stuff like Gordon Freeman or the FEAR guy are fun to be cause they kick ass but theirs no personality compared to such as playing Geralt the Witcher or Jade from BG&E

maybe its using it orcs, mammoth tanks or armies that you like...

I just love a real personal character that you get attached too and actually care what happends during the game (geralt, jade, April or Zoe from longest journey and dreamfall)

any thoughts?

Commanding the same units throughout a game of COH (and watching them level up) is also sweet.

Howitzers own. 🙂
 
Kratos. Hard to feel more badass than smiting your enemies with Godly might while wielding dual chainblades.

Mario is a pretty good one too, although that's mainly because Mario games are almost universally fun.
 
I don't know why but I love playing as Yoshi.
Playing the witcher is nice too, you got to kick some ass and be a hero while getting to score a lot of hot chics

Yeah; I always felt sad when a veteran team of riflemen bit the dust because of an Ostwind or something... 🙁
 
in RPGs i always create the same chaotic-good adventurer

i like the protagonist in PREY - 'Tommy', he was so DENSE - but lovable and he curses like i do.

i also like the Guy in the Thief Series ... i'll never forget What'sHisName .. Gerard? ... Garrett!!!

... and i cannot forget the 'personalities' of the "minions" in Overlord or my Wolf-Creature [naturally] in B&W2
 
Generally speaking - caster type characters.

Mage in Bard's Tale series [from the old C64 days].
Priest / Mage in WoW

First Person Shooters - Duke Nukem - nothing like kicking alien A$$!
 
torment def...anything related to that game is at the top of my list

Sam fisher has to be included...making a 5th splinter cell is great...
