so, the first thing to consider is, dubs exist and often come with a new theme song. Sometimes it's just new lyrics, other times they are entirely new. And some can be aawwwwesome.

Japanese early Superobot era cartoons had Isao Sasaki who was absolutely magnificent; i would put as my very top choices .. uh .. omg .. can't. I can't. There's just too much awesome, how can you say if Hurrican Polymar is better than Uchuu no Kishi Tekkaman, you just can't. You can just make a list and say they are all awesome.

They actually made a recent rework of Star Blazers / Uchuu Senkan Yamato that is possibly even better than the original. The Yamato song is *very* popular in Asia .. VERY popular. There's tons of videos of choirs and marching bands & such that cover it.
