Really.
Nobody even remembers stuff like TerryToons or Underdog or Tom and Jerry. There was a bunch of black and white stuff from the 30s and 40s that ran quite a bit in the 60s on mornings.
Decent? It was cowabunga mondo insane awesome! The TMNT theme was decent.
Tubular, bro!Decent? It was cowabunga mondo insane awesome!
Never too late to start watching again. I think you will like these:Know what sucks? When old people talk about cartoons they liked as a kid, and they were made after I stopped watching cartoons...
I'm 10 minutes in on the first episode and I'm hooked!Or he can skip all those and watch KonoSuba.
The movie was great too. Season 3 is coming in 2024. You can skip the series focusing on Megumi though (An explosion on this wonderful world), not very good.I'm 10 minutes in on the first episode and I'm hooked!
It's disturbingly creepy yet so funny. DANG!
I prefer the English version, which started in 1979 as Star Blazers.I prefer Uchuu Senkan Yamato but it is from 1974.

The top 10 cartoon theme songs of the '80s
While Saturday morning cartoons weren't anything new in the 1980s, it kind of feels like that's when they hit their peak. Producers had refined their strategies (improving upon the '60s and '70s), the stories balanced lightness with coolness (unlike the brightness of the '90s to come), and...www.classicnerd.com
A few of the ones I remember are:

I hear you, and if I could understand, I'd be right there with you.yeah no dubs for me
Maybe coz they cheap out on the voice actors? Some of the girly voices in KonoSuba sound too similar and it messes with the experience.yeah no dubs for me
I can read subs fineI hear you, and if I could understand, I'd be right there with you.
You cannot expect voice acting of the same calibre as the original cast. They just don't have the budget nor cultural understanding to emote.Maybe coz they cheap out on the voice actors? Some of the girly voices in KonoSuba sound too similar and it messes with the experience.
But it's hard to read and stare at the same timeI can read subs fine![]()

I try to avoid subs because I want to relax and be entertained, not stress my brain cells to decrypt and understand text. While I'm doing that, I will miss some cool face expressions or other important stuff and then later I will have to rewind and go over some scenes again. So watching movies/series that require subs is never my first priority and I will often skip highly rated stuff coz of that. I watched Squid Games without subs and just guessed whatever they were saying from their gestures and facial expressions. When one's not used to it, maybe.
