Fathers, Would you want your daughter to be GORGEOUS or Homely??

I have a daughter and I think she is beautiful, of course what father doesn't think that of his daughter. but i'm afraid that she may end up being gorgeous. that is kind of a concern to me.

why would i wish my daughter to be homely?! being beautiful is importnat to girls, i would want my daughter to be happy as well as beautiful, intelligent, decisive, etc.

i hope that my daughter has enough self confidence and love for herself that her happiness is not dependant upon how the majority of people see her physically.

i don't wish homeliness on my daughter, but OMG, if she is HOT HOT HOT then i'm going to buy myself a .45.

Easy to say, really tough to do. After 18 that is... I've met some fathers that are really cool about it though.

That reminds me, the next time I go home I need to have a talk with my cousin Matt about my cousin Katie (his younger sister). He will be a sophomore next year, and she will be in 8th grade. It is time to tell him that part of his responsibility as her brother is to beat the living piss out of any guys that "mess" with her.

I have 2 boys and a girl. having a girl has been an amazing experience for me. she brings things to the family that sons don't.

obviously my little girl is only 3 so i haven't encountered all of the things that can happen, but she is amazing.
