Right. And that's what passes for being a model now apparently. So if being a 14 is the new zero, then it makes being even fatter OK. And that's not OK.

I don't find super skinny models with their ribs showing attractive. But having your belly spill out over your bikini bottom shouldn't be a goal. It's called a healthy middle ground. And Americans keep moving that middle ground further and further towards being obese.

theres nothing worse then a fat person telling you they are sexy because they have lumps. i mean, the girl in the pic looks pretty good, but she does look like she eats unhealthy...

Sloppy and unfit never has and never will look good to me. She is pretty, but eats like shit and severely out of shape.

Fat shaming is dumb, but it is a kind of an unavoidable reaction to this.

Plus, I see a lot more thin shaming than fat shaming online. Probably just because most people are fat...

A heavier girl can be helped a lot by a pretty face. I know I've seen a lot of women who were on the heavy side that I found attractive just because they had good skin tone and nice facial features. That's basically what this girl has. She's not the perfect package. Surely no one is saying that a few pounds less, just enough that she doesn't spill over the side of her bikini quite so much, wouldn't help things. There's just a range of sizes in which a girl with her face can still be considered attractive. She's solidly within that range for me.

the hard-wired programming that was mentioned occurs on evolutionary time scales... hundreds of thousands of years to millions of years. Examples from contemporary history for a preference for fat people is just coincedental cultural bias, and has nothing to do with our 'wiring.'

if you want to know what we are wired for there is only one place you need to look... hunter gatherer culture that no longer exists on earth. before the fatties created by modern agriculture and sedentary lifestyle, humans were on the move All The Time. eating low callrie diets with the occasional hunted meat... lots of fruit, nuts, seeds... walking, walking, walking, running, running.

so ask yourself what the healthy look was from our the shrew-like ancestors in the Jurassic ------ to -----> neanderthal ---- to ------> hunter gatherer humans of 15,000 years ago... what did healthy look like to all those animal ancestors whose DNA we have inhereted...

I guarantee you that NEVER in all that time did "Healthy" look like the hagen-daaz stuffed plus-sized sedentary models of today.

I would certainly do it with the girl in the OP picture if she asked me, but I like skinny girls too, more so. But there's a limit to how skinny of course as has been mentioned earlier about extremes. For me it would be if she was so skeletal that I'd be afraid of breaking off one of her bones sticking out while I was handling her.

That woman is hardly fat. She's just a bit overweight is all. Plus I think this particular model is close to 6' tall, so her fat is more evenly distributed than the average woman making her still very attractive.

If she ever has a child though and doesn't reduce her caloric intake and increase her activity level post pregnancy, then she will truly become fat.

Still, I think that as a Society, we should not place that standard as any sort of ideal. Obesity is a dangerous and destructive force for any Society, so I'd rather advocate being on the skinny side than on the fat side..
