The list is fail. Nevada is ranked #7 and if you click through it says that's because it was tops from 2000-2006. That's not growing, that's grew. Nevada is now one of the fastest shrinking economies in the nation:
Population declines
Poor tax structures
One of, if not the, largest deficits relative to budget
Etc

Rate of change has nothing to do with the overall health of a State's economy. It's not even a particularly good indicator of an economy's direction unless, the time frame is long enough.

They are getting rid of the small business tax and replacing it with a corporate income tax.. how is that any better?
 
So they're calculating this over a decade, right? Because Nevada is probably one of the most fucked states in the country right now.
