I took some screenies for you and everyone else. These were originally 1280x1024 cause of my LCD. I am running a 9700 Pro with Omega Cat 3.7s. Graphic settings are full with 2x AA and 8x quality trilinear AF.

All 8 screens.

PS - Keep in mind, these are resized to 1024x821 or somtehing. They are also compressed "fairly" heavily. If you wish, I can send you a RAR of the 1280x1024 bmps.

Brace yourself for the array of "I'd Hit It" pictures that'll be coming out of the woodwork... Who'll start the festivities?

I run max everything with my 9700pro except i run no AA but i still get 84-85 fps which sometimes goes to like 45-50 but only for about 2 sec's Awsome game. The best is the apt building so far. I wear awesome headphones so it sounded like i was in a rain storm

How do you display the framerate ?

well i went out and got it:)

video/3d graphics integration is very good. the story is interesting, the the physics is pretty kewl, non static enviroments adds quite a bit of realism.

and it runs incredible. on my lousy ati radeon 9000pro with newer games i tend to drop to 1024x768 @ 16bit color to get total smoothness, yet this game runs at max textures at 32bit just fine! quite impressive!

Yeah 0roo0roo. Whoever developed the Havoc game engine (valve?), did one hell of a job programming it. It runs almost perfectly with no noticeable slow downs even on budget or bottom class hardware.

Because of this game and how it performed on my PC, I'm now completely convinced to wait off on the A64/Nforce3 set up for at least another year.

Will this game run alright on a Radeon 8500 128MB? (NOT LE)

I have a 3200+ XP with 200MHZ FSB and Crucial PC3200 RAM 512MB at 200mhz FSB timings 6 2 2 2.5

Will I be ok to run this game? I cant afford a new vid card right now :(

GF3's run this game @ 1024 x 768 with med to high detail. So I see no reason why not.

I thought it was pretty much an embarassment to bipeds, I use it as a baseline when gauging how bad something is(gameplay, level design, story in particular- I felt bad for the guys who made it actually). If this is a better version of the first I will without a doubt pass, if there is someone that loathed the first one I'd be interested in what they had to say though.

I think you are in the extreme minority. Maybe since you dont like good games, you will like crappy games. Go try Daikatana

Great! Seeing that with current Drivers, the 8500 competes well with a ti4200 I should be in good shape, thanks.

Let me just say this, if this is the future of graphics then we are in for a treat. Great game great graphics sound etc etc. Bullet time combo amazing to watch just a mucho gusto game hands down.

Why hasnet anyone mentioned VINNY, I wont spoil it but the funniest part of the game is this mission.

The only problem I have had so far is that when doing a shootdodge or combo, when going sideways, Max's head alway seems to get in the way of the crosshair and take up like half the screen so I end up shooting blindly, hoping to hit something.

I wish Rockstar would make a Max Payne game as long as their Grand Theft Auto 3 series...
