yes i agree with you far cry looks and plays 10 times better than oblivion. oblivion game play is pretty boring and the graphics isn't that great imo.
 
ummm.... is this content upgrade compatible with dual core? I just tried to install the enhanced content but it said my processor type wasnt supported??

didn't find the pics anything spectacular

but how were you able to run at these high settings on a 6600GT, is this with HDR?

i run at all settings maxed 2xAA/8xAF when i play. IIRC pics were at 4xAA for the purposes of the thread. No HDR.

Runs fine for my purposes (6600GT at 585/1145)...

Glad that you didn't like the pics tho, cheers for taking the effort to tell me that.

Thats because the official patch is for the 64 bit version of windows xp only.

oblivion isn't to be compared with far cry. It has far more parallax mapping (bump texturing), longer view distances, more complex vegetation, and it's an rpg, not just a shooter so it plays way different.

Navid, the upgraded content is supposed to add those cobblestone sections, though it's not necessarily better.
