I wonder.... because AA doesn't seem to be working at all for me. I installed everything, the HDR works with the 64 bit patch, but I get jaggies galore. Running an XTX, all settings maxed.
 
sometimes i notice that too, i can't get AA to work even if i turn of HDR, and sometimes i cant turn off AA. It's weird...

There are supposed to be some fixes for Farcry in the latest ATI Cats 😉

I am quoting myself here as noone seems to have paid attention.....
The patch i linked works with the 1.33 patch that i have installed and should with all the others.....its very very simple to install as it is just a patch with its awn installer.

Does this single patch replace the two others?
 
with cat 6.3 it still doesn't work. the console says that FSAA_samples = 6, and FSAA =1 (meaning "on"), and r_hdrrendering = 11, but only the hdr works. the jaggies are still bad.
 
just tried it, and hdr is fine, but though console says FSAA_samples = 4 and FSAA = 2, there is obviously no AA in the game.

How did you install, and what drivers, etc.?

game, then
all patches, then
ECU, then
1.4? or what

this is driving me nuts
 
I gave my last copy away. I'm at the point with that game, where if I have to play it one more time, I'll shoot myself in the face! :laugh:

no luck, im on Cat. 6.3 and using the CCC just to eliminate the threat of using a beta control center, nothing seems to work. In fact I don't think any of my games have had AA and HDR together, but I've only tried splinter cell and far cry so far.
 
this is really bugging me out here. ive been trying various drivers and control panels, and its not happening. are there more game configs that need to be made?
 
So, just started playing Far Cry (yes I'm late to the party, so what 😉 ) and it looks awesome, but alas, if it could look better, I'm all for it.

I'm running Windows 2000 Professional. Now, I'm hoping that there won't be any problems, as any compatibility issues are probably just enforced by the installer, which obv I'm not going to use. I've got a 4400+, so shouldn't have any problems there either.

Was just looking for some reassurance that it'll work, as downloading a GB only for it to not work is a bit of an ordeal.
