FarCry or HL2? It has been polled.

HL2 will have more expansions

FarCry has x64 support and is the most beautiful game I've ever played

So... HL2, narrowly. The plot's pretty good, but I know I'm going to wind up playing a lot more HL2 content than FarCry content.

I just got FarCry two days ago, so far I'm liking it more. There is just more to do, etc. I also believe HL2 was one of the most overrated games ever.

farcry

hl2 was alot more polished, better story, better characters but

farcry was by far more impressive, better gameplay and you felt more like a part of the world

FAR CRY graphics are far better HL2. HL2 engine isnt really anything demanding as most computers can play it used to on my old mx440 on med settings. Althought i still admit it looks quite good but far cry just a smidge better. Also i enjoyed far cry's story more.

FAR CRY, because it's the best $20.00 I spent on a game since the original Half-Life and Deus Ex. I have yet to buy HL2.

That's hardly something to criticize a game for. Smart developers make a game scalable to play on as many home computers as possible, hence a chance at more sales...

I agree it was smart but it still doesnt look as good as far cry, expecially if you have seen in 64-bit with sm 3.0.

All 3 games are good at different things, yet people continue to try to pick one above the others for some reason. I don't get it, oh well. I for one am glad I played and beat all 3.

Wow, HL2 is so well-programmed that it can run on some pretty old, oudated machines, yet this is an aspect that receives criticism. What do you want them to do? Make it dual-core only so you and 3% of gamers can play it?

Although I pick HL2 for having superior multiplayer (HUGE, +excellent mod support makes a game that lasts, much more important than other parts), story, sound, performance, etc etc, Far Cry did blow me away with it's amazing environments and graphics. I bought a Barton and a 9800Pro and Far Cry was one of the first I tried with my new computer. Very immersive game, but the whole package wasn't quite on par with HL2, although it did get released a bit earlier (still, fvck the a-hole hackers that delayed HL2 in the first place).
