At $190 it is expensive for a case. But if you want small and fanless....

Yeah, Streacom is quite quite expensive, even among the fanless niche.

The case I am interesting in seeing more about is the DB2, it's the passive version of the flexible DA2:

Looks nice and I think it is neat, but I'm not sure I would pay that much for case and whatever the PSU cost. These cases look like real PITAs to put together as well.

There's a new Gigabyte Brix mini-PC barebones with an i5-8250U, I was looking at maybe getting one.

If I decide to take it, should I take it without internal storage?
Because there is an internal storage unit on sale, which will save me around $50.
How much for the SSD on sale? You are planning on getting an SSD right?

@New Goer Have given some thought to simply building a MiniITX system? There are some fairly small MiniITX cases out there and fanless as well. Do you really need Fan less?

Yes I have.
Mini PC is my preference, according to my previously mentioned priorities.

Seems too good to be true. That is a current generation expensive laptop CPU with an Intel CRP of $300 for the CPU alone, and they will sell you the MB/Case and some accessories with the CPU for less than that.

$297. That's the RCP when it launched in Q3'17, a year ago. See archived page on 2017-8-21.

Intel says:
"Prices .... are subject to change without notice. Prices may vary for other package types and shipment quantities."

The other components are so cheap in China.

Feedback is above 95% positive for the manufacturers/stores.

Thanks to your comments y'all, I just realized that i5-8400T can be fanless, and is more powerful and cheaper than i5-8250U.

But I can't find a fanless PC (mini or not) with i5-8400T for less than $300 (the price of one with i5-8250U).
