I don't care about fruit or coffee but I take meat srsly

Why? Do you realize that most of the bacteria scares in recent memory have come from vegetables and fruit?

The only meat I concern myself with is chicky. As long as you cook it to 170 it's all dead. In a fryer of 365 degrees for 3 minutes it's going to be dead. And if not, it works your immune system.

the Food inc. documentary goes into detail about NA poultry farming. The way it works now is the chickens are raised in giant windowless buildings covering acres. They are kept in the dark so they think it is time to sleep and dont move as much. There is no sewage system so like pigs the chickens are wading around in their own feces. The bacterial contamination level is so high that large doses of antibiotics are needed to keep them alive, though hardly healthy.

When the chickens reach the processor, their legs and feathers are so covered with contaminants that the processor simply gives the whole carcass a bath in ammonia.

Deep frying a chicken may kill bacteria, but it isnt the live bacteria that makes you sick. It is the bacteria's poop that contains the toxic part. Frying doesnt make it any less toxic.

You're falling for propaganda on your heart string.

Don't want to eat chicken? Then don't eat chicken.

Anybody that cites that food, inc shit should be immediately dismissed as a dumbass that has zero clue to cooking or taking care of yourself. Now go be scared of your food and buy organic because it's so much better for you!

I had a coworker that worked at a food processing place say this:

"If people knew how food was made, many would not want to eat."

That's what I've heard too from someone who use to work at a plant that processed creamed corn.

Gotta say - at least the food here [in the US] is processed under stringent controls that it's safe for the most part. Can't really say the same for China - freakin gross and very unsanitary.

That's why we pasteurize stuff. OMG! It's processed!

No shit. If it wasn't you'd die unless you processed and pasteurized it yourself, aka canning.

Wait! We cure food with salt and smoke! How dirty and bad for you! This is what is wrong with people. They don't know how to prepare and preserve their food.

Honest question to all the freaks - could you cook a chicken and pick all the meat off of it? What would you do with the carcass? Throw it away?

McNuggets are made from regular chicken breast meat. It's pretty obvious and easily confirmed if you break one open. Not sure why anyone would think otherwise unless they have never eaten one.

It's still extruded chicken though. It isn't like it's cuts off the breast or anything.

They are formed into molds, that's it. Otherwise, they are ordinary pieces of chicken with seasonings.

Chicken McNuggets®:
White boneless chicken, water, food starch-modified, salt, seasoning (autolyzed yeast extract, salt, wheat starch, natural flavoring (botanical source), safflower oil,
dextrose, citric acid, rosemary), sodium phosphates, seasoning (canola oil, mono- and diglycerides, extractives of rosemary). Battered and breaded with: water,
enriched flour (bleached wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), yellow corn flour, food starch-modified, salt, leavening (baking
soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, calcium lactate), spices, wheat starch, whey, corn starch. Prepared in
vegetable oil (Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness). Dimethylpolysiloxane added as an
antifoaming agent.

Take a chicken breast and a chicken nugget mold. Cut up the breast fine so the pieces will fit the mold. Add some seasonings and a binder. Fill the mold. When it sets up, take it out and batter it. Drop it in the oil. Enjoy.

I'm pretty sure i've seen that picture before, a while ago. seems like this is some bullshit recycled article, not sure how much truth there is to it

mcnuggets are friggin gross anyway. I've had them only a handful of times and they don't taste good at all. wendys nuggets on the other hand, are awesome

mmm delicious..

Yeah meat is pink.. big whoop. So finely blended meat is going to look like pink goop. Big whoop.

The ammonia part is iffy, but I'm sure there's no trace amount of ammonia in there. It's like when schools tell you that drano is used to make ecstacy, but there's actually no drano in the pill, it's just used as a solvent, but it's boiled off afterwards so there's no trace amount.

And sure, most meat is artificially flavored to taste better, that's what marinade is.
Critical thinking FTW!

Mc Nuggets can taste vastly different depending on how long it's been on the shelf. In any case, you can always just ask for new ones. They actually think you'd prefer the old ones sitting there for a while since most people going through McDeez drive thru wants to be in and out there quicker than, well a mc donalds drive thru.
If you get fresh ones.. they're sooo mmm mmm delicious. Perfect hot and crispy, and the sauce is so bomb.

You might want to take a look at the information presented in that movie before you go dismissing it there skippy. I found it to be quite an eye opener.

Keep sucking that corporate koolaid though if you want.
