Thank you. I wish everyone would lighten up and quit looking for stuff to complain about.

Someone of the asian race saying it doesn't offend them doesn't mean every one of the same race should feel the same. You will never see Samuel L Jackson or James Earl Jones or Bill Cosby saying the N word doesn't offend them. When they speak out against their own race (and every white guy here praises them for it), it is not the same thing as this.

A private business makes a private decision to change its name (for commercial reasons or even perhaps because they themselves now feel a bit uncomfortable about it) and (presumably) pro-private-business Conservatives get worked up about it. I find that strange.

I could understand there would be something to argue about if it were the government ordering them to change against their wishes, but its their business, if they now feel they need to change the name (which pretty obviously will offend quite a lot of people and probably needs constant explaining and defending to potential customers) its their prerogative to change it. What's the problem?

I definitely agree that what _does_ say something sad about the modern world is that it needed an outside 'consultant' to tell Joe to call his steak place 'Joe's steaks'. How did that conversation go? "Wow, I was going to go with 'Tim's Tofu' but, 'Joe's Steaks' works much better, that's brilliant!"

I don't think it's "conservatives" offended by the change. I think only idiots are offended.

As I mentioned before, "Joe's Steaks" is plainer-than-plain. The new name is fine. Just confusing that they didn't get something better since they paid 💵💰 for it.

I'm Asian and it offends me..but I wouldn't necessarily call for the business to change its name. Free country, right? I would just choose to not go there as a customer.

However, I'm not surprised in this day and age, the owner decided to change it. He could've picked a better name though. LOL

Why is this even a story? It isn't like this business was forced to change its name. They opted to because they thought it was a worthwhile change.

Really, you are that vested in the "historic" beloved patriot name that you get upset when the company decides to change it of their own accord?
