Thank you Netflix. I finished watching Volume 1 this week and have come to the conclusion that this is the greatest show ever.

I like it so much I'm taking all of Season 3 and compressing it down so it fits onto one DVD5. That way I can watch it on the TV and not have to lug around all three discs.
 
I plan on buying the discs as soon as I find a good deal again. I really wish I had bought them when Target had them at $19.99 per volume. Or was it $14.99? Oh well, I hadn't seen them then and really wasn't sure if I'd like the show or not.

Now, I've never watched Futurama either...
 
great show, i just ripped them to my HDD and made them divx so i can watch them with my modded xbox and not get it to change discs

its back by popular demand, litterally
it is the first show to come back due solely on DVD sales
it was the number one selling DVD one year, so fox decided to bring it back

It wasn't entirely due to DVD sales, although that had a lot to do with it. The ratings on The Cartoon Network were through the roof. Repeats of The Family guy were crushing the ratings of both Letterman and Leno firstrun episodes with the 18-30something male demographic. As they have the most disposable income and are the biggest spenders, that's the key market segment for many advertisers. Since the ratings are so strong there the show is an ad salesman dream, it's easy to target the right ads and get top dollar for them. Given the low production costs the network should have no trouble making money on the show even without the bonus of the DVD sales. It's a win-win situation.

They're funding the new season ENTIRELY with DVD sales. They were so far beyond anyone's expectations, they decided to bring it back. It's still not decided if it will be back on Fox or if it will go to Cartoon Network. Fox gets first say, but if they pass, then Cartoon Network will air them.

American Dad is also coming out (made by Seth MacFarlane (sp?)) next Spring.

I'm as happy as a little girl.
 
Stewy is awesome, I didn't think I'd like it.
My hubby got season 3, and we borrowed 1 and 2 from the library, I laughed my arse off!!!:beer::thumbsup:
